I like this video but I have to wonder:
With today's aftermarket parts quality being problematic, would it be wise to just reuse the old chains rather than install new aftermarket chains? Even for someone with a garage, tools, & the know-how, this is an engine out job. Who wants to have to do this twice in less than 100k miles?
The small chain you didn't return?
Does the balance shaft rob HP and torque?
Can anyone confirm if this kit works for a 2010 4.0L engine in a ranger. Its the best priced one id trust.
Can you change all the timing chains on this motor in 1999 form, without pulling the motor out?
I have an issue when I align the 0 mark on the harmonic balancer the cam tool won’t go on and the cams are not straight on the flat spot on top. But when I align the key way facing upward %100 everything is in time perfect. Basically the keyway Mark when facing up is not matching up with the zero Mark when the harmonic balancer put in which one should I go by?
I took off my oil cover and oil pan. I’m taking the balance shaft off completely. I seen in another video that “if you remove the chain. You remove the shaft.”
Crap engine, great video
What timing chain brands do you recommend for this Ford Explorer 4.0?
Where I can buy the wire harness of ford explorer2006 4.0 eddie bauer?
Any idea what the part numbers are for the TTY bolts?
Thanks for the vidio I really needed to know how it was done so i can get that done in my ranger. Thanks.
Can the tensioner be changed without removing the engine from the truck?
