Jeremy Gilbert says:

you guys are crazy, never replace a sensor just because. dude, why didn’t
you show us your car running? The sensors, to a trained Tech, can be
condemned with a scan tool, multi meter and internet, not just the
internet. .In addition, a lot of sensors have relearn procedures and just
replacing a faulty part will fix the problem…. and, ya, not using a bit
in the first place was kind of a bone-head move

Ford Taurus 2001 3.0, 200K mi. I replaced a blown head at 136K and 190K .
$3K , NEVER replaced a sensor to my knowledge, but, replaced ECU, plugs
twice, spark plug wires, coil pack, twice, etc. and it still has rough
idle, poor mileage, low power. Rough idle comes and goes based on engine
temp, and chance. REPLY REQUESTED.

Ron Seguin says:

did this fix your problem? I’ve spent over $150 dollars in parts trying to
fix a rough idle problem and I own a ford taurus as well. Before I spend
anymore money, did replacing the sensor do anything after you replaced it?
If not, what else have you replaced to fix your problem?
