I think I posted a link to that distributor. I would go with a GM
alternator also and get rid of the external voltage regulator also. Got a
buddy with a 400 in a a mud truck that has the exact distributor and he did
a GM alternator also. Made the truck a totally different truck.

CHOPSHOPUNDERGROUND says:

I got a few of them dist.!! LOL

redneckbryon says:

It take Chevy parts to make a Ford run correct, you may say it has the
heart of a Ford but the brain of a Chevy, but without the brain you got
nothing.

fordflatbed windsor says:

i bought 1 them for a windsor 1 time from skip white performance which i
seen in a vid of yours once was close to you looked really good to me as
far as quality but i didnt like not having anything attaching that ford
gear to that dist i personally had thoughts of drilling a hole and
installing a roll pin but i sold it to my buddy i had bought accel plug
wires combo 74 bucks i think including shipping and sold it 75 but anyway i
was unsure as to if the dist didnt drop perfect first time how in the hell
you would get the gear back to redrop it in lol and the thought of it not
really being connected just beating against each other in there seemed to
bother me but just my thoughts i ended up with 4 bent pushrods and two
stuck valves on the windsor i had asked you about i really still think you
were right about how the oil had gotten there i got 1 valve workin i am oil
and tappin and lettin set a few days inbetween on second valve now i got it
from tap down stay down raise hood tom all way back up lol to tap down let
set down 30 sec gently tap it will fully pop back up i could pull the head
but you know i think with patients and oil it will start working right
sorry about the lengthy comment just thought i would share my thoughts and
maybe get your thoughts on that floating gear on them dist like i said i
thought everything else about them was top notch quality and i have seen a
ton of them on vids on here i ever seen 1 the boy had a early 70s chevy
with a 302 lol with the chevy type dist lol

Mike Samra says:

That is an actual Ford distributor in the GM style, correct? I couldn’t pull
the distributor out of a 76 monte carlo and put it on my 70 Cougar 351w
without changing the gear and the shaft length on distributor, right?
