DIY Oil Change for 2011- Present Ford Mustang GT

ERRATA: The oil weight I used is 5W-20. “W” does not stand for “weight,” “W” means the oil viscosity rating for colder temperatures. Sorry for the misnomer.

i dont think the bolts holding the plastic wind screen matter..i just used
a socket and made them snug. The oil drain plug is another matter, always
torque to spec

Just one oppinion/advice…Next time you do that remove the oil entrance
cover so when you take out the oil it will exit faster+ sometimes and it
happened a small quantity of old oil remains in the engine because the lack
of air and that isnt really nice …what i love to do is clean the engine
adding diesel instead of oil and let it 2-3 mins idle and there you go…a
clean engine xD…sorry if i ve maked some grammar mistakes…im from
Romania…:)

Thanks for the good word! I tried to be as thorough as possible, and also
hopefully clear as possible too.

I think you skipped torqueing the drain plug?

ford4v429 says:

read a great tip/idea a while back- get a large ziplock bag, put over the
filter, catches the oil as you unscrew it, drop the filter in and zip it
up, dump it out later…
