ya i hate it when they do those half years, my BMW is a half year production as well and you have to toy with 2 different years to get the correct parts

I haven’t read all the other comments, but I bought one yesterday same application. It’s was a Motorcraft part. I learned there is two different filters for the same application. Mine is 06 F-150 4×4 5.4 liter. Discovered one size fits up to vehicle mfg date 12/05/05 and one for after that date. Had to look at mfg date of vehicle to get correct part. Mine ended up being part #FG-1083. Thanks for the video though.

What would the English language be without the word fuck? Nice video.

ILKBNS says:

Yep senior master tech does it that way on the 3v heads. It’s pretty much the exact opposite of the TSB. I recommend doing it this way right from the start. If you try the TSB way first, good chance you might crack a plug. I figure if the plug breaks using the impact way, guaranteed it’s going to brake TSB way. I was a little worried about galling alum. threads, but not an issue. Early 2 valve heads are a whole different story, don’t do this for them.

Bullshitkorner says:

I watched a video not sure if it was the same one but a guy used a impact on a warm engine to get them out, i will have to try that and see if it works

Bullshitkorner says:

that’s the exact same kit i purchased a year ago off a guy that claimed he broke all 8 plugs in his truck

ILKBNS says:

also, I used this tool to remove the broken plug Lisle (LIS65600) Broken Spark Plug Remover for Ford Triton 3 Valve Engines

amazon.com/Lisle-LIS65600-Broken-Remover-Engines/dp/B00267PZUK

Make sure all the pieces are cleaned out with vacuum and tube in cylinder. You do need to use a little care with it, but it is still a better solution then the jackass TSB tool for removing the porcelain. I changed my plugs @ 80,000 mainly because I had a coil going and went with MSD packs 🙂

ILKBNS says:

These engines have a long electrode that like to get stuck in the head. I followed the TSB to the T using their special sauce. 1st one I removed broke. I’m a mechanic by trade and was very careful when removing, but knowing this was going to be very bad I stopped and went for web help. I found this youtube and would have thought it to be crazy, but considering who the guy was and others confirming it I did it.

it worked, get it warm, no thread damage

Bullshitkorner says:

I haven’t changed the plugs yet but what is wrong with the TSB ?

ILKBNS says:

Ha, ha,Wix typical. Same exact thing for Good Year and your fan belt, here let me give you the correct part number for that Motorcraft JK6-1022-AA 🙂 By the way, have you changed your spark plugs yet? Muahhhhhh, what ever you do, don’t do what the TSB says.

Sammers0love says:

I don’t drink beer but blue ribbon is good I’m a fucking alcoholic know lol, good vid by the way

Bullshitkorner says:

hopefully they gave you the right filter

ArtisanTony says:

Cool! I am changing mine today 🙂

Bullshitkorner says:

hmmmmm sounds like a electrical short somewhere, trace the wires from your coil packs and disconnect the plugs and look for any signs of moisture or corrosion

Damon Woods says:

All started when i ran through deep rain water..

Bullshitkorner says:

any engine codes?, misfiring leading up to the failure of the coil packs

Damon Woods says:

My 03 5.4 f150 4×4 is failing coil packs one after another. Any idea way.

alapon77 says:

Thanks for the tip. Your garage looks pretty awesome. A little flammable… but awesome.

Bullshitkorner says:

your welcome thanks for watching

millerbluedeuce says:

I just had the same damn problem on my 08 F150 FX2, the OEM filter stem was thicker than the one they gave me at the auto parts place, throws everything off when this shit happens, thanks for the info man

Bullshitkorner says:

there will be videos coming for quite sometime, it may slow down to 2 videos a week during the winter time as it gets too cold here and I just don’t feel like heating up the garage. i’d rather keep warm and drink beer hahahah

Ryan Atnip says:

Love the videos Jerry keep em comin, you have taught me much already. Keep the jeep vids coming too!

Bullshitkorner says:

thanks for the tip, i looked up rock auto and they have really good prices i’ll have to research into them further and see what methods they use to ship to Canada

GrandCaravanSE says:

I buy my fuel filters, and oil filter from RockAuto.com, they sell Motorcraft filters. They are actually pretty cheap, they are about midrange as far as price goes.

Bullshitkorner says:

I’m almost thinking from now on just suck it up and buy factory parts from the dealer, that way you just give them your serial number and you get the correct part. it’ saves you from having the headache

GrandCaravanSE says:

For fuel systems, and any liquid filters for my truck I just use Motorcraft filters, they always fit, and are meant for my truck. But that is total bullshit that it says that it works, and it does not. Maybe since your pinion seal was different, maybe try a filter meant for the same truck that you pinion seal is for.

Bullshitkorner says:

i’m going to attempt to change spark plugs next year i’ve already prepared myself by buying the kit to remove broken plugs. I have a few more videos left to upload with the ford f150. it’s been a good truck doesn’t give me much grief so there isn’t many videos on it.

Britt Ray says:

I did the same thing from Walmart had to go to ford to get right size . Keep up BMW and now ford vids. I just changed the water pump today 2006 f150 it was a pain

Bullshitkorner says:

you are very correct, I wanted to catch it on film how much pressure there would be when you released the pressure but it didn’t work out the way i wanted it too

Fahrenheit38 says:

An easy way to relieve the furl pressure is to pull the fuel pump fuse and crank the engine over a few times.
