aaron cash says:

I had the same issue from my 2017 since the day I bought it new. Then a year ago I switched to full synthetic oil and it hasn’t smoked since

2017 F150 too!

Michael See says:

why not just remove the o-ing on the original tube, wouldn't that be the same?

goatwhsprr says:

Quick question, where is the IAC on 07 expedition and or the part#?

carolina bull says:

Which 4.6 would you rebuild Lincoln Town Car Crown Vic or Grand Marquis

Michael Granville says:

I wonder if that oil leaking past the turbine all this time did any damage to the catalytic converter?

sacju65 says:

I took my 2019 in last week to the Dealer for the blue smoke problem. They mentioned that TSB for it and have the tube on order. I'm hoping it fixes it as well. Thanks for posting this!

Bob the Science guy! says:

My 2017 F 150 Ecoboost 2.7 has the same problem, blue smoke on cold startup.

Cinthia Wing says:

You were highly recommended on Reddit. I have subscribed.

alrui says:

What's the theory behind deleting an o-ring fixing the issue?

hakz1nunke says:

I'll add, for those that might be looking for smoke from their trucks, the blue smoke is definitely oil and I've seen this repair work many times.
All of these trucks do smoke white several seconds after startup, like seen in the video, as a normal condition.
We had to chase the white smoke for a customer several times before ford responded to us, saying the trucks are programmed to heat the catalytic converters shortly after starting, in order to remove built up condensation. Many people confuse this as an oil or coolant burning issue.

keyoke69 says:

Thanks for the video. Im going to check my 2020 in the morning.

Bubba Biker says:

Great video. I'm curious on why the coolant line has to be removed on the 2015-2017's to change the oil feed tube? I can see having to remove the turbo flange bolt/stud is required to access the oil tube mounting bolt.

thefordmaniac says:

Easiest fix is don't buy an ecoboost?

Greg Milner says:

My `18 F150 2.7l used to do it intermittantly and then stopped by itself. I figured it was the seal ring on the turbo shaft rotating it`s gap.

Cant Stop Wont Stop says:

when will ford ever make an engine reliable as to just regular oil changes

Mac Attack says:

I got rid of my junky 2020 5.0 and got a 2020 2.7 and this engine is far more reliable and superior.
