Okay, so the part in question is not so expensive.

Gustaf C. E. Jennings says:

This looks pretty much like my situation. My 2003 Ford Focus also has a cracked outlet pipe. The resultant cloud of steam escaping worried me; could be expensive.

i use Part No. 902-206 from advance auto, and it should be the same for any zetec focus. I haven’t seen any other lengths.

Alex Tompsett says:

I noticed when looking for a replacement online, that there are different lengths of heater hoses. Which one did you use? I have an 02 zx5 but I imagine there isn’t a difference between that and any other focus. Am I wrong?

Buddy Adkins says:

That was extremely quick and helpful. Thanks so much for uploading!

Tempo2010 says:

Was gonna let the mechanic do it, seen this video and did it myself thanks!

80sCarGuy says:

I did not flush the system out, on my car any air in the system worked it’s way out to the overflow tank. so after running the car for a bit i only had to add some more coolant.

xjufox says:

same thing broke on my 2002 focus, guy at AutoZone called it Bypass Tube.

Should you flush the cooling system so there is no trapped air??
