Andy Tan says:

Thank you so much!

APDTY says:

I would recommend double checking that code number, It does not come up as a proper code for the ford focus, (I looked up as a 2000). The focus does not use an oil temperature sensor, so I would make sure that is the exact number stored in the computer, also make sure it starts with a ‘p’ so p0195

Andy Tan says:

Thank you so much for the reply! Also, my focus has a 0195 code intermittently. The code is “engine oil temperature sensor circuit malfunction.” Do you think the oil pressure sensor is the same as the temperature sensor? The dealership can’t find oil temp sensor for me.

APDTY says:

Nope, you do not need to drain the oil before performing this job. The sensor is in a pressurized oil passage so therefore the amount of oil in the oil pan will not make a difference.

Andy Tan says:

Do I need to drain the oil before doing this?
