Glen W says:

So what about the guy who is replacing not steam cleaning the foam cushion? How do you remove and replace that foam????

Glenn says:

Great quality products and helpful video!
Replaced the driver's side vinyl seat cover and foam on my 2006 F150. Helpful tips: There is no need to remove the seat from the truck simply unbolt the tracks from the floor and lean it back to remove the bottom frame. No need to disconnect any electrical connectors just release the clips holding the wires to the bottom of the frame and remove only the bottom frame/foam/cover assembly. No need to remove the old cover from the old foam if you are replacing the foam just remove the 2 hog rings attaching the old foam to the frame and release the cover from the frame then remove the cover and foam together. Note the new foam does not have the bottom rail to attach the foam to the frame like the original does. When installing the new parts It is much easier to install the 2 forward hog rings on the sides first before installing the hog rings for the front row instead of how it was done in the video at 14:49. Don't bother trying to bring back 15 year old foam with a steamer replace the foam with a new one, the old foam will never last as long as the new cover you're installing especially on the driver's side.

Missy Longbottom says:

Is there only one size hog ring? I'd like to get all of the materials before I remove the seat.

chris sowder says:

zip ties work well also instead of hog rings

Jeff Sloane says:

Mach 9!? That's one fast flying' hog ring! Thumbs up for the video. Nice work.

Donn Fowler says:

What size hog rings do you use?

Justin Miedema says:

You guys saved me alot of time, thank you

Ed In Texas says:

Great video on DIY. You guys are great. Thanks.

Steve Wilder says:

I know my old seat cushion that I want to replace is shot. Does the cushion separate from the seat pan, or does the new cushion come with the pan?

Terry Scott says:

Great video. Getting ready to cover both driver and passenger bottom seats. A close up would be helpful though. Thanks

Jorge T says:

How about the seat backs?

Douglas Garcia says:

Amazing products. I purchased my seat through them!! Thanks

Real Ron Swanson says:

Absolutely NOT a T55 to remove seat. I bought one and it's wayyyy too big. Don't know what size I actually need, but I'm going to have to go back to Menards and exchange the one I bought. Now I need to go over to Ford and find the actual size….

Ben Kennedy says:

I know it's an old video, but my 2008 F150 had T-50 bolts holding the seat down.

Robb Ward says:

Any video on removing and replacing the foam seat?

John Rigola says:

What size is the hog ring?

Doug Beaton says:

Good video and the finished assembled seat cover and foam seat which I bought from The SeatShop fit perfectly and looked brand new. I would first check which size torx socket to use because not all Ford F150 models use a Torx 55 (mine used a T50, which necessitated an extra trip to the store). Also, make sure you use a torx socket, as shown, not an torx "L" shaped bar because sometimes, as on my truck, a couple of the torx bolts holding the seat to the truck were so tight I needed a breaker bar. The rest of the installation went well. The hog pliers can be tricky if you aren't aware that you need to hold the hog ring in the pliers by squeezing the hog pliers a bit when trying to put in the hog rings, or the rings will just fly out of the pliers. Also, be aware that the two plastic plugs that held the old seat cover to the metal on one side do not come with the new seat cover — they will have to be reused or replaced.

Eric Townsend says:

Nice video, very helpful. Thanks for sharing. But fellow DIYer, think twice before DIY, the seat pan is NOT easy to come of.

Doug Beaton says:

I have a 2006 F150 work truck and the torx bolts holding it in are T50's not T55's.

Joseph Sierra says:

Curious to know if you have any experience with the heated leather seat bottoms on the 2017 generation expeditions? Mine seems to have some discolored areas for some reason. Not torn or broken just looks like someone heated up a couple of spots.

The Sunflow Channel says:

1. T55 torques bit
2. 13mm wrench
Hog ring pliers
Snips

Your website is not working

Robert Fitch says:

Thank you, great video. Im going to buy all my seat stuff from you guys just because of this video. And any work I have in the future you guys get first shot at.

Rob Basile says:

If my foam is starting to get a little worn on that drivers left side (leather covered), can I run a steamer on it while it's in the truck to puff it back up or will that not work?

River rat says:

I just replaced my 08 xlt driver's seat foam and cover. Remove the seat with the seat all the way up and more important with the seat forward. If the seat is all the way back getting to the front pan bolts is difficult. I did not have to disconnect any electrical. Just removed the pan bolts pulled the seat loose from the frame, took a picture of how and where the wiring is hung from the pan and pulled the Christmas trees wire hangers. The whole job from removing the seat to reinstalling the seat took less than an hour

Feyeteen Bach says:

My 2006 F150 Lariat Crew Cab is all leather…why is that an "upgrade"?

AusTxBill says:

If the foam is usually bad, why not show how to replace the foam too?

Gi M says:

Where's the seat belt!
