The factory headers on the Ferrari F430 are guaranteed to break. It’s only a matter of time but they will crack and fail. The best solution is to replace them with aftermarket headers. In this video I remove the factory headers and prepare the Ferrari F430 Project car to be ready to install the Fabspeed headers as soon as they are back from being ceramic coated by All American Wheel Pros.

someone on one of the FB pages insists the headers failing and wrecking an engine is "scaremongering " and paranoia ! that one does not need to fit aftermarket headers !
he says he put a set of headers on his F430 and it was SO LOUD he could not stand it ! and he was black flagged off a racetrack ! ( for noise ! ) LOL

Weird to me how Ferrari owners don't care that Ferrari doesn't stand behind their cars at all. Headers always fail and can damage the engine. No problem! I will not ask Ferrari to replace them! Honda would replace them without even me having to ask them. I know. I have had my Honda dealer not charge me for things because they are seeing the issue on other cars.

I suspect ceramic coating to keep the header area clean is “probably” not worth it. Not sure why but I think I heard about a 430 issue recently…
Thank you Dan for another great video. I have learned to work on my 360 thanks to you. How different is it to change the headers on a 360 versus a 430? Do you have any suggestions where to get the car lift and do they offer any type of discount? Hope you and Megan are doing well with this miserable time.
It actually really helps warming up the car before removing header bolts. Just get a lot of wobble extensions to keep distance 🙂

Hey Dan, my Maserati GT ticks like crazy and I asked the head Maz tech here in OKC if that was normal. He said it was. Is that the same indication of cracked manifold for me? It's almost the same motor.
i just realized that all European car work from underneath, all american and JDM works from top. lol
If you look at minute 11:34 or so you will see that one of your A/C compressor hoses is leaking oil and or refrigerant. Or simply something got on it and seems that is leaking, hope you checked it out. Great vid.
In California 2000 or newer cars are no longer required to have a sniffer test. Just visual inspection.

4:04 if you would drive it that loud in Germany the Police would stop you and get a tow truck and you arent allowed to drive it until you fixed what makes it that loud.

Is the damage on the header visible at all or is it hidden under the outer shields?
