if you use a hot air gun on the fibreglass will be easier to work/shape.

What engine/drivetrain would you use in the f-40? Ferrari oem stuff? Or a different engine like a built F136 out of a Maserati? And a Graziano?

Scott mate with all due respect, you need to repair that crack in the bumper with matting and resin , that will crack within minutes of driving or even re fitting to the car ..
