Part 13 of the Ferrari 348 DIY Major Engine Out Service. The Ferrari 348 requires the engine to be pulled every 3-5 years or 25,000 miles to replace the timing belts. Usually this also entails replacing many other components such as the tensioners, water pump, bearings, and pulleys. Typically this service starts at around $10,000 at most reputable shops, and can easily cost upwards of $25,000. We are going full bore and replacing almost everything that can wear so the engine will be almost as good as new and give Tim many years of use.

Getting much closer to having the engine put back together. We got the intake manifold back on the engine making it look like a real Ferrari engine again. Josh continues to dispense his knowledge and experience helping us fumble our way through and preventing more mistakes. The lip-seals are a bit tricky to get seated just right, but we manage to get those on properly.

Jason Thorne says:

Tell the person who complained about the swearing that if it bothers them then they really aren’t a car guy and they should go watch Martha Stewart or Rachael ray instead

Gregory The not great says:

Dan, for the future, instead or RTV, use aviation gasket sealant. It doesn’t harden like RTV and it’s formulated to mix with oil and fuel so it won’t clog any passages in the event of push over from the sealant. This is especially critical on the oil pan, where RTV push over can flop off in the pan and clog the sump pickup.

Rodney Kahane says:

Your content is great but please stop putting in those stupid fills

Ken Strain says:

Watched quite a bit of the rebuild of this engine. Convinced that Italy would have never won WW2 and that Ferrari is junk.

the_aircraft_mechanic says:

I'll say 266.6 HP to the wheels

Miller Fisherman says:

Sorry I must’ve missed it, but how was the ferrari ruined by the mechanic?

Donald Parlett jr says:

I have two vocabularies. My I'm around the boss aka wife and I'm working on the effn (quack) car. I'm fluent in both.

Bruce Grabau says:

This has been a great series so far. Love the 348! I now have zero respect for Ferrari engineers after watching though, there were zero F's given to maintenance when they designed these vehicles. There are some stupid designs in other vehicles but everything is more complicated and prone to failure than necessary on the Ferrari. Props to anyone that works on them everyday.

rkay357 says:

I love the sound effects.

Full Octane Garage says:

Am I the only person that thinks that “someone” in this video looks and sounds a LOT like Borat!

Dave billups says:

I like the qwacks….Good fun. Let's things remain real while keeping it clean.

Supercar Scott says:

My guess is 322 hp to the wheels

Supercar Scott says:

I would never own an older Ferrari. Yes, they are beautiful cars, but too much trouble with the major services. F430 or newer yes, F360 and older, nope.

Scott Mariani says:

Do your splash screen oddball titles help get clicks because they really don't relate to the content of the videos. Please go back to accurate titles instead of the click-bait type titles, they are below your low Normal Guy stuff! Awesome series, thank you Ricambi.

kamikazekaos says:

Stop Quaking over bad language ……like sh*t fxxk b*tch …..shit ?did i do the same …lool
