Part 16 of the Ferrari 348 DIY Major Engine Out Service. The Ferrari 348 requires the engine to be pulled every 3-5 years or 25,000 miles to replace the timing belts. Usually this also entails replacing many other components such as the tensioners, water pump, bearings, and pulleys. Typically this service starts at around $10,000 at most reputable shops, and can easily cost upwards of $25,000. We are going full bore and replacing almost everything that can wear so the engine will be almost as good as new and give Tim many years of use.

Now that the engine is back in the Ferrari 348, we had to start connecting all the various wires and hoses. There was one last thing that needed to be fixed, which was welding back together the aluminum bracket for the alternator. Josh dispenses his wisdom on how to weld while wearing his OSHA approved attire. Don’t try this at home folks.

Ryan Parkinson says:

Dan, don’t let the haters get you down man! Do what you need to do in order for the channel to grow. The new titles are super clickbait-y, but the technical content is better than ever. The new titles are a small price to pay for super detailed car wrenching content. Also, I binged a bunch of “classic” normal guy supercar videos this weekend, the quality of your latest videos are clearly superior cinematography. Wishing you and the channel nothing but success!

The hammer guy switched to sawzalls? Get him out of there. Use lithium grease on the cutting threads of the tap it will capture all of the cut metal and pull it out with the tap.
