I noticed at the end when you drove off the ramps the little flaps that usually sit behind the upper grill is missing. they are flaps that sit on the left and right side of the rear engine cover latch. basically both sides of the horse but behind the grill. I was able to notice because you can see right through the grill and see the intake box.

Great job. seems straight forward. How can a dealer charge more than 2500 dollars labour for that job?? Crazy!!

Cliff James says:

You are the fucking MAN!!!!! I don't own a Ferrari, but people ask "how do you work on your Audi and benz" my response is, I don't go to the stealership when A. I own tools and B. I love fixing my own shit!!!! keep doing what your doing man…

Daniel, I have enjoyed watching the DIY videos that you have posted. I wish that someone would post some for the Lambo Diablo.
By chance do you know the part numbers for the Brembo calipers that are on your car? I'm looking to upgrade my brakes this year. Thank you

Keep up the good work.

Kurt von Klopfenstein says:

I really enjoy watching your videos. I also respect a guy that can work on his own exotic car. Hopefully one day I can join the exclusive club.

idjr says:

Dan, what are the symptoms of a bad wheel bearing on the F430?

Heidi and Franny's Garage says:

Way to go. It was weeks ago that we (well you and Franny) started talking about that issue, right? Heidi

Heidi and Franny's Garage says:

Daniel, you have almost 500 subs! Yea!

Fleabite7 says:

Nice job…you should clean your parts while you have access to them.

YellowMega1 says:

impressive….you gotta punch the nut to complete the project? lolz. no need for an alignment after that? do you buy those OEM parts online or at the stealership?

Gusseisern says:

Good Job! I Personally would Not Dare myself doing such things.

Colin Hansen says:

Good job doing that yourself!

micheal freeman says:

Great videos! Keep it up. The courage you have to work on your car is astonishing. How did you know you needed the wheel bearing done? What would your local Ferrari mechanic have charged you to do the work?

keithrx3c says:

Hi Daniel, I've been enjoying your vids over the last couple weeks. I could never afford one myself but I did have the Tamiya 1/10 RC F430 that I raced a few years back. The most powerful car I've owned was a 1989 Mazda FC RX-7 Turbo II, it was dynoed at 235 BHP, nothing too spectacular, especially compared to a Ferrari but definitely a fun car to drive. Sorry if it's been covered before but what sort of power figures do the F430 put out?

Andrew Mayes says:

Love the torque click and takes all the guesswork out. Hate that feeling when you get as a bolt goes rubbery, just before it shears. At least it wasn't anything too important but wonder how it would affect balance of the hub? BTW, I have just got my switches back from being de stickified too!

iBuyGeorgia.com says:

Daniel – that wheel alignment stud you broke…. Is that just to help with placing the wheel back on the hub and getting the lug bolts in correctly? My guess is that someone has a stud kit that you can replace for the lug bolts. They thread into the hub and then the wheel slides on them and you secure the wheel with lug nuts. I'm looking into same for the 981.

Rick Su says:

Totally looking forward to the header video. Many are saying the aftermarket header will be droney and way too loud without the pre-cat, curious to know what you feel. My header might be leaking so I am on the fence after going aftermarket or another OEM… Thanks!
