EDIT: I updated the electrical portion of the video, it can be found here https://youtu.be/u1U6RteF7zg
To say it more correctly, Ferrari built all 355’s as manual transmission cars, Essentially, When the F1 came out, Ferrari converted a few of them from manual to F1. This video will show you have to “de-convert” it back to a proper gated shifter. Its fully reversible.
I hope you find this video helpful. I shot this video months ago and just haven’t have time to post it.
For those wondering what parts are required:
-Shifter assembly with bezel
-Shifter Rod with weight
-Pedal box (See note at bottom)
-Clutch master cylinder
-Brake fluid reservoir (update, the F1 and manual are the same, but you just need to attach it to to clutch reservoir)
-Oil pressure/water temp gauge for cluster and oil temp for center dash(optional)
-Dash and rear emblems (optional)
Note, technically you don’t need the entire pedal box. The F1 and manual box have the same part number. You need the pivot shaft from the inside with the clutch pedal. Problem is, you likely wont be able to find the pedal by itself. There have been several people who have simply cut the shaft in half and weld on a pedal to save money with great results (that’s how ferrari did it anyway)

Would the F1's gear indicator still work with the manual transmission?
Where did you source parts from?
What does the car do when the hood or door is open?
How do you like your Hamann wheels? How wide are the rear wheels?
Does $15,000 sound about right for all of the needed 6-speed conversion parts?
Great content.
Do you have the F1 gearbox control unit?
