The Ferrariboys_407 tackle a crazy project to deal with the continuing reliability issues of the Ferrari 458 gearbox. The pinion gears literally get the teeth completely sheared off by the ring gear when they get hot and the fluids get low. Getrag, the make of the gearbox for Ferrari, won’t sell you just the pinion gear. Instead they make you buy an entire new gearbox for $35k!!! It’s bullshit so we’re going to try and machine our own!
