because slicks are much better. they’ve got better grip, better response,
they can slip a bit but the car will stay in control. something that you
don’t see with the grooved tyres. also because the aerodynamics were
decreased by more than 50% there was a need for a grippier tyre.
I do not understand why they are changing back to the slick tyres, the 4-5
groove treads are one of the reason why I like F1 and it’s set them apart
from the IRL, and Champcars,
