Daniel Brown says:

then most bad ass driveway clutch job I have seen by far! and I have changed clutches in car parks out front of race tracks at 3 AM to make racing next day. love the work keep it up

Samcrac says:

Hey Scott, excellent job mate. I really appreciate how you got every single little seal possible while you're in there; If you take this car to Ferrari, they literally don't touch about half the amount of parts you replaced unless requested or unless there is obvious failure.

James says:

And I thought my 996 Turbo was a PITA to work on. Well done mate.

Patrick Hostler says:

I don’t own a Ferrari, but I still find watching these films fascinating and relaxing

silver750iL says:

Great. Just need a 360 now (ideally a cheap one needing a clutch 😉

Dick Vreenegoor says:

Nice job, great to watch

Jacques Raymond says:

WOWWW!!!!!! I'm amazed looking at you pulling off all these parts to achieve that task. It must be a very expensive job at the Ferrari dealership. Do you realize you are among just a few Ferrari owner's in the world who has the ability to play like that in LA BELLA MECHANICA and to save all that money? You also are for sure the only guy in the world to use a TESTAROSSA as a workbench. CONGRATE AND RESPECT.

EZ E says:

Great work, inspiring!

The left-handed golfer says:

Might save thousands but not sure I’d fancy that. I’d end up starting, and then taking a bag of parts to my local dealer to get it put back together!

Flintstone dutch says:

impressive to do this alone and on the driveway!

Listing to your intro: my car drove 67.000km's on original clutch (F1).
It is all in the understanding and feeling how to shift & lift. Put your foot down and keeping it down during shifting (F1) is killing (like in stick-shift car).
By lifting the throttle during the shift (upward), the flywheel (& clutch) go down in rpm's (compression reduces the rpm) and by shifting (up-ward) the drivetrain also lowers in rpm's and by this lifting the throttle the clutch "slips" less.

However as you have a upgraded ECU as explained in the video, I think that makes all the differance as I have a F430 with same ECU.

In short: shift & lift during gear change (=shifting up) helps.
Let the ECU shift down as you have lift the throttle to reduce speed and downshifts (during breaking) are done perfectly by ECU.
Upgrade the ECU to expand the lifetime on your clutch is key

Pete Plastow says:

That’s probably an easier job than most cars, having so much room to work in the back.

burville100 says:

I really miss tinkering on my old 'sh*tbox' cars when I first started out with cars. Great work Scott.

alan pickering says:

5p for a cotter pin? some rip – off artist missed a trick there I think. Enjoyed this vid thanks I had a more grief over a simple vw clutch change you set a great example for keeping stress out of repairs.

Lon Mcclellan says:

Scott. The engine bay looked flawless.. Where is the Ice blasting machine when you need one. Lon from the states…

Colin Bailey says:

Awesome work Rata.

Ismael Sanchez says:

It is important to wear sunglasses while you do the job. Ferrari workshop mandatory PPE.

Werner Danler says:

I've taken on some complicated jobs on cars and other machines on my own and wouldn't hesitate to do this one if I were 40 or 50 years younger. The sense of accomplishment when you complete a job like this is priceless! No left over bolts or nuts either. Lol
