This repair was pretty easy since I'm a small guy. What threw me off was the new part is shaped slightly different.

I told the O'Reilly clerk I needed a Heat Blend Door actuator and it was what fit in. The actuator in the middle looks the same so maybe it's the same part for all 3?

We had the same problem, popped the actuator motor off and put it right back on and it fixed the issue. No replacement necessary. Thanks for the video … made the process much more comfortable.

I found its much easier to lay across the driver and passenger seat rather than tryimg to twist my body to find the screws. Hope this helps.

I need to replace mine in my 2012 dodge avenger SE 4 cyl. 2.4l. How much was your part? I'm sure it only took about 10 minutes if that for total replacement. Mine does with with heat or ac but heat doesn't really work. It also clicks ever so often when the car is turned off and you can hear it standing about 10 yards plus away from the car windows up.

I have this same problem and I hate to turn off my heat because that when the tapping noise starts. Now that it's getting hot out I don't have any cool air. Would this part had anything to do with no cool air when I turn on my AC??

Tim Blackburn says:

I have a Dodge Avenger 2012 when I use the Heat cold air comes out of the passenger side but heat comes out of the driver side or they have another blend door are in there or is it some kind of sensor that's stopping that I hadn't seen any other video or that type of problem would appreciate if somebody had some information about that for me thank you

Greg Rojna says:

FYI that is the RECIRCULATION door actuator, not the BLEND HEATER door actuator which is located on the left side of the heater core.

LamBeau Leeper says:

Gotta do this tonight on my sons car. Its 25degrees. Smh, kids
