What happened to your Trans Am?
At about 37:40 you observe that better engineering could have been done for
future maintenance, the problem is when the auto manufacturers started using
“cab forward” designing in all vehicles. I am 6’3″ for the most part I
feel crammed in a vehicle no matter which seat I sit in.

The metal pieces at 19:18 are heat shields to protect the wires from the
heat coming from the manifold.
For what it’s worth, those metal tubes on the ends of the spark plug wires
are heat shields, since the wires sit between the exhaust ports. It’s
important that if you replace the wires that the new wires either have the
shields, or that you transfer them to the new wires before installation.

Hey 905speedgta, I’ve been working on cars since I was 11yrs old I am now
49yrs old and I have to say, you did a great job of explaining how to
change the back bank of plugs on your 98 dodge van! It’s nice to see
someone from a younger generation that “gets it” I take my hat off to you!
As an extra tip for you and your viewers, when reinstalling the spark plug
wires put a bit of dielectric grease in the boot of the wires to help seal
them from moisture and to also make them easier to come off next time!

It should be done every 80-100 miles…. So my minivan has had it done 3
times!! And it is about time again because I had it done at 318,000
miles..:)

really? Every 80-100k miles? Where does it say that in the owners manual?
If your head gaskets are good, why tear the engine apart to replace the
Head gaskets, your only asking for trouble if you tear your engine apart
for no reason. The most you may gain for doing head gaskets every 80-100k
miles, is a slight higher compression. I’ve seen these engines go 300-400k
miles easily without major maintenance. The 3.3/3.8 are bullet proof
engines.I myself have a 04 caravan with 112,000k miles on it.
I to have a 98 caravan. . .I get a chattering sound on the 1 cyclinder when
gas n up. . .timing chained or sefoam??
Please someone tell me what size of wrench do you put over the serpentine
belt tensioner to get it to come loose I have been struggling to even get
my wrench on the bolt at all and now I am stuck!!!
right, thats because its a 2007 and not a 1998. i had the same luck on my
2003 dodge caravan with the 3.8L. there intake plenums are designed
differently and easy to access the plugs and wires from behind.
cool. with was a half hour 45 mins for me without making a video.. making
videos on something your doing slows you down ALOT haha
