I installed a set of eBay/Amazon fender flares on a Dodge Ram truck to cover the common rust over the wheel wells. These fender flares are sold online for around 130-150 dollars and are relatively easy to install.

** Public Service Announcement!! Let this video be a lesson to anyone bringing a vehicle to someone or someplace to be worked on…Wash your vehicle before you drop it off people!! Especially for a project like this one!
Nobody wants to work a dirt caked vehicle. And it shows the person working on your vehicle that you actually care about your vehicle too. It only takes a few minutes of your time to run it through a "tunnel car wash", and costs you what, $6 to $7?!? Don't forget to ask for the Undercarriage Wash option if your having any suspension work or bottom side work done to your vehicle too.
And it doesn't hurt the engine to clean it once in a while at a quarter car wash either. Engine bay areas are meant to get wet! Leave the engine running while you wash it, if your afraid of it not starting after you wash it down. Just be careful hitting the major electrical connections with a direct spray from the wash wand, and any moving pulleys, belts, and fans too. Your engine will appreciate you taking care of the engine bay area! And your mechanic will appreciate it even more that your whole vehicle is clean, and easier to work on for him/her.
Thanks for the video! I just bought a Black Dodge Ram and ordered flares just like those from RealTruck.com*. luckily,
I don't have the rust issue but going to paint the "cosmetic screws" black first. def. thanks for the hands on video!
Thanks for posting this. I wasn’t sure how fender flares would install before ordering them. Now I am going to grab a set. Great video.
change the panel dude
How much do you charge to install these..regular shop rate?
why didn't you remove the rust first ?
Should have removed as much rust as possible and painted it so it wouldn't progress as fast.
Do you remember the seller you used on ebay? I can't find these.
Love them New Fenders!!
