Installing a 2″ front suspension lift on a Dodge 3500

I wanted to lift the front end of my Dodge 3500 2″. Here is a video of the install I did.

Will this kit work for my 2011 3500 2wd?

cameramandanno says:

Did you use the same shocks?

Austin Bishop says:

If I were just using 1″ spacers, would I need an alignment afterwards? Or
would I be just fine?

Chris B says:

Did you notice any drastic changes to your axle center? I read a few forums
that said I had to get a new track bar to re-center the axle. I find that
hard to believe with this small of a lift.

Thank you for posting this. I was planning on doing this on my 95 1500 and
got the general idea now. Thank you.

Is it 4wd

remove your sway bar end links next time… no coil compressor needed…

Great video man. Thanks for making it…

Thanks, my dog Mack is 11 weeks old and he is a great dog. The front ends
on the Dodge trucks are a little low, after I installed the 2″ lift on the
front the rear looks lower then the front so I just ordered a 1″ lift for
the rear axle. I think once it is installed he truck will look just right.

So did the death wobble stop after alignment plus six tires? Would you do
it again? Ive been hesitant to go with a leveling kit for my 3500SRW
because of that “shake”….an HellBent has one of the best reputations out
there in regards to leveling kits. It seems like that wobble is almost
guaranteed with a leveling kit and most inexpensive lift kit.

farmall450diesel says:

The wobble did go away 100%. I had 38,000 miles on the tires so it did need
new tires.Would I do it again? With out a question I would. Before I had
the front end aligned when I was at highway speeds and hit a bump like on a
bridge expansion joint the front end would shake pretty bad. So bad that I
had to slow down so the front end could settle down and run smooth. If you
do your truck I would like to see some before and after pictures. Eric

Man i have a 2500 diesel 2wd, but i’m having a problem finding a lift kit.
I want to get the 4×4 look of it without killing fuel economy. From this
video I’m thinking a 2.5″ in the front and a 1″ in the front? I can’t find
anything online for 2wd… Any help?

farmall450diesel says:

yea it is 4wd, adding the front lift made a big difference with the way the
truck looks. I just received a 1″ for the rear axle. I hope to install it
this week.

CornFed500HP says:

I installed the same kit yesterday on my 2500 cummins.. It’s not near as
easy as the instructions make it out to be. Problem is getting the new
spacer/spring in. My spring compressors wouldn’t compress it enough. I
finally just removed the trac arm bolts and dropped the axle to the ground
to get it back in. I had a hell of a time getting the trac arm bolts back
in.

farmall450diesel says:

Yes it is 4wd.

WickedPipeliner says:

is it a 4wd? i gotta ’05 3500 4×4 an it doesnt look as low in the front

abikerinpa says:

Thx for the reply my new friend

trackeroffroad says:

Nice vid, thank you for the information. I’ll be doing mine this weekend,
nice to see it being done first

abikerinpa says:

Did you need an alignment afterwards ? was your steering when still
“straight “

farmall450diesel says:

Thanks, he is a great dog. he goes everywere I go.

farmall450diesel says:

Yea I had to get a front end alignment. After I installed the lift the
front end would shake whenever I hit a bump at highway speeds. My timing
was good because I neeed tires so I replaced all six and had the front end
done.

thinking of doing the same to my f250 diesel
