i have a 2006 silverado 1500 with loads of mods and a rear disc convert from drum. and they all have STOPTECH Cryogenic Treated slotted sport rotors with ceramic pads, braided steel brake lines, and stoptech Racing STR 600 brake fluid. braking is stupid powerful now. pulling my 1993 toyota pickup 4×4 with out trailer brakes isnt even a slightest of worries any more it literally stops on a dime. next upgrade is big brake kit STOPTECH 6 piston calipers for the front and 4piston for the rear.
Like @SUP2EMAN said, the slotted rotors will have less brake fade than your factory rotors. This is due to their ability to dissipate heat and release any gasses that get created between the surface of the pad and the rotor under heavy load. They are a very nice improvement for towing and for performance.

More bite and way less brake fade due to the vented rotors being able to stay cooler longer. If you tow heavy loads these are a must. I have DBA 4000 series slotted rotors on my truck and it has made a huge difference over stock. In my opinion worth the money if you need the extra stopping power. Set them with a Pair of Hawk super duty brake pads and you can stop the earth from spinning.
Why would a person want “powerslot” rotors over the factory rotors that are already on the truck? (given that the current rotors are still servicable)
