I recently installed towing mirrors on my 1997 Dodge Ram 2500 and the
drivers side mirror only move left and right not up and down but the
passenger works fine. Before I put them on the mirrors were fine. Do ypu
know what the problem could be?
Is there any way to hook them up to both the turn signals and running
lights????

HI, On those newer style tow mirror that’s on your 98, our manufacturer
built them just like the factory ones than came on the 08+ Dodge trucks.
They’re at a slight angle. The reason for this is, when they designed them
for the earlier style trucks (which never came with these mirrors) they had
to be at a slight angle for the driver to be able to see correctly. This
was done for safety reasons, allowing you to tow and still be able to see
correctly, and also retain an OEM type of a look.
Bought some towing mirrors from you all for a 2500/3500, power heated with
the brackets. However I can’t get the bracket to work with the mirror, but
if I leave out the bracket the threads on the studs are too far away from
the door so I can’t tighten it and the mirror just hangs off. Did I get the
wrong brackets?

irritated with the mirrors and your companies customer service.the dodge
tow mirrors flip up to a 90 degree angle.your mirrors do not.they only flip
up 80 to 85 degrees.it makes the mirrors look lake a waste of my hard
earned money.so i called about them to see if your company would fix the
problem for me and i was simply told “they are suppose to be that way”.so
now i have to fix your companies poor quality product.

Thank you for this “series” of videos! Helped me install my tow mirrors
with no issues! 🙂 one question tho, do they fold in if hit by car in
parking lot etc? Like stock mirrors do so they don’t break?
We always recommend purchasing the mirrors with the options that came on
your vehicle. That way the plug ends will match up. You could probably
splice in some of the options that you may not have, but this would also
void the mirror warranty if the wires are cut.
if i get the mirrors that dont have lights on them will i be able to take
off the panel and hook up the wires for heat and adjustment to where the
oem’s were hooked up
I upgraded my 2001 Dodge mirrors. Came up with an issue. I wish that I
would have seen your video and shop prior to doing this. My problem is I
think, that the studs from the drivers mirror hits the mirror switch when I
put panel back on. I need to test for switch and then replace, and cut
stud. I didn’t see that happen on your video. But it was a great help.
