How do you know it's bad and needs replacing?
i have a 2013 1500 sport and my 4×4 light just blinks at me for about 30 seconds when i push it and the 4×4 wont engage think this might be my problem?
Very interesting, the 1st Gen RAM's used a vacuum actuator that would fail when the rubber diagram would age and crack. Interesting that RAM went with a lil'electric motor.
What's weird is with my ram the actuator moved in and out but 4×4 wasn't working so I manually put it in 4×4 position and vola 4×4 put it on jack stands with actuator back on and it was stuck in 4×4 put my spare actuator from my spare diff and it's working wondering if maybe not enough power in old actuator to move the slider under load
My 4×4 turns on but there is a grinding noise in the front when i spin the tires, would this be the issue?
