I have same car. When I hit a dip in the road or bumps the engine make a
noise like the tire is rubbing. I checked the tire and it isn’t rubbing
against anything. And driving, it makes the rubbing/knocking noise that I
can feel though the steering wheel. Do you think that it is the mount. I
had the lower one replace last year.

Frankie Arnone says:

oh. ya. almost forgot. how did the center mount bolt (55torx) break?

Alexey Gavrilov says:

yes the car already running. How ? there ise any problem to make them loose
no space to remove the bolts,,,, i didn’t have any problem to make them
lose… there is a huge problem to remove them

Alexey Gavrilov says:

i don’t know how the bolt brake… this neon have 225 000 miles on him…

Frankie Arnone says:

you need some open end wrenches. You needed to remove the 3 motor mount
bolts. then remove power steering pump. then 3 tensioner bolts. you did
this job in a difficult way. and you coulda done it without breaking the
timing cover…. prolly took you 6 hrs. mission completed…i guess.

Alexey Gavrilov says:

yes maybe …. also could be the car catch a speed bump while driving on a
high speeds…

Alexey Gavrilov says:

Did you try to do the same dodge neon motor middle mount???? there is no
space … the ac line is preventing you from removing the bolts ….

Phillip Leon says:

perhaps… was loose..
