We will removing and installing a new 195F thermostat on this 2010 Dodge Ram TRX4 1500 with 5.7L Hemi. Once the OEM factory thermostat gets worn out its not uncommon to see temperature swings from 180-220F degrees as we have seen on this 2010 5.7L Hemi. This is a step by step video on how to replace a thermostat on 5.7L Hemi’s made from 2010-2019.
Part 2 we will be installing an after market thermostat and replacing the lower/upper radiator hoses.
How do you drain the overflow tank to complete the flush correctly.
Thanks
Love your video thanks for the lesson my wife owns a 2012 5.7 Hemi Dodge and this 411 came in handy Thanks YA'LL.. take care so long !!!
Poor editing, explanation and camera angles.
I am searching bleeder for my 2018 ram 1500 V6. I swapped Radiator due to a small crack. What i did burp it but seems is not enough. Works fine but only when going up hill accelerating entering freeway ramp starts to overheat. Reaches 240-245°F. Normal road driving runs between 208-228°F.
Lately wants to stay at 230s°F it seems start to build up the heat. As soon I turned a/c fan full blast. It cools down, i turn it off it runs fine.
Where this bleeder hiding?
I have a 17 ram sport. Hemi. Usually runs about 203. But last couple weeks. I’ve had it spike to 220. Then drop back to 203. Has 115k on it. Wouldn’t think it’s the water pump.
is that a special drain hose at the bottom
Already added 2 gallons of Mopar and diluted with distilled water and reserve tank
How much gallons does the radiator take? I've already filled the reserve tank
