Ok, I replaced the TIPM in my 2007 Jeep Wrangler yesterday and Nothing. It was completely dead, no lights, wipers, turn over, nothing. I was hoping this would fix that because over the past year I lost the wiper, horn, and other randoms. Dealer even suspected the TIPM. However, someone told me I needed to check the air bag fuses and Key in ON position for 12 seconds. Anyone ever heard of this? I have not tried it yet, I will when I get home. If this doesnt work, any thought or ideaas???

Great Video!!!!! Too easy for DIY's like me who just need the basics you covered. Quick Question. Do all the plugs you took out have different sizes so that its obvious where they plug into when reinstalling? Some of them looked identical from the video and I want to make sure I don't plug it in backwards

What is the purpose of the hard reset? I have a 2002 dodge ram that has the TIPM failing and I cannot find a replacement anywhere. The truck is my sons truck he uses for work and going to school. I took it to the dealer and the dealer told me that the TIPM was heating up causing it to fail? Will the hard reset help me or is my TIPM just done? Need help!! I emailed you already and I am willing to purchase a rebuilt one if possible.

I don’t know if you’ll be able to help me, but here go, I have a 2015 dodge journey sxt with a 4.3S uconnect, I upgraded to the 8.4 screen RB5 Radio that supposed to have navigation on it, but I don’t get nav and the AC the climate screen shows 22 degrees, I was wondering would that fix this issues? I even took it to the dealer to reprogram it for me, but they told me that the car won’t accept the new radio because the old one still program in it, any help will be helpful…

I have a 2009 jeep Liberty and just this morning as I turned over the engine:
1. front wipers activated on their own.
2. rear wipers doesn't work
3. wiper fluid pump doesn't work
4. headlights are on without set to light sensor.
5. hi-beam doesn't work
6. turn signal doesn't work
7. console lights are set to minimum light; cannot change.
8. not sure if break lights work or not (I'm guessing NO).
So, sounds like a TIPM problem to me. Did the research and came across your YouTube channel. Will probably contact you via web site for new one. Would you be interested in my old core for a discount in sale price?

Spencer Maiers says:

The brother of one of our mechanics had a 2007 Dodge Nitro that had a likely TIPM issue. Not only did I get personal, caring service over the telephone, but I ordered a TIPM after determining that it was likely the problem (and I was educated that it should be replaced on that year Nitro anyway, as it is one of the most notorious). The price at Mak's for the TIPM was less than the dealer with a shop discount and some adding pencil sharpening (for a brand new OEM part), even after overnight shipping via FexEx. The TIPM installed perfectly, required no dealer coding (some lights were on after install, which went away after a day of driving, just as was explained to me and I hopefully expected). The problem was solved and everyone involved on our end was extremely grateful. This is what good business is all about, personalized service and customer education. As a shop of professional mechanics from Seattle, we were completely delighted with our experience and look forward to doing business again if the need arises – we could not ask for any better.

I really appreciate your videos. They save a ton of money and a boatload of headache.

I was wondering if you happen to know anything about doing the hard reset on a 2012 Chrysler 200. The battery placement makes for a very difficult experience to pull the leads off the battery. From what I understand, one needs to remove the front left wheel to be able to access the battery to pull the cables off. Unless you know of another way to disconnect the battery?

ATAK BILL says:

Will you list the issues that a hard reset will possibly solve? Will be nice to know first so we can make a decision based on our particular issue. Thanks.

Hi mak your video was awesome . Dodge wants 1200 to replace my girls tipm in her 2011 Dodge Ram 1500. But found you're website and your video. Looks supper simple to do. THANK YOU! How much for a tipm for a Dodge Ram 1500? I'm in the Simi Valley so I'm sure I can drive to you and just do this in a parking lot. Thanks!

I have a 2010 Nitro and my wife was driving at night when the lights stop working. After researching it I found it's a faulty TIPM. The dealer wanted over $1100 to repair it. Luckily I found Mak. I got one of his TIPMs and my car works great now! I also live in LA si I was able to pick it up in like 20 min. Instalation was fast and easy. Thanks Mak!
