and the gasket is the same

drksyde72 says:

do you have to remove the entire cover if you just want to replace the bulb?

YouraN1993R says:

hey man thanks alot, the non sport headlights 94-98 arent the same as this.
Just to let you know that headlight you worked on is a 99-02 not 98-02. And
FYI only the diesel was available in that body style for 02.

My left headlight on my 97 dodge ram points down and to the right and
shines about 10 feet in front of my truck so it doesnt do me much good. How

Turbo Bark says:

will sport model headlights fit NON sport models?

1A Auto Parts says:

There’s an adjusting screw on the back of the headlight. You would need to
adjust the angle of the beam. You can do this by parking the truck 25′ from
a wall. then turn the screw so that the new light comes into alignment with
the beam of the old headlight. Hope this helps you out. Have a great day

where can I buy a a head light for a 2000 dodge ram sport 4×4?thanks for
the video wa sa big help!

KarnivorusKLONE says:

Thanks so much. This was just as easy as you said and show it is. Did the
passenger side today, waiting for the driver side. Question: I only ordered
the headlight housing only, trying to save money, figuring I could change
it out. Looking at the whole housing, it looks do able. Yes? But will have
to readjust the placement of where the light hits the road. Do you happen
to have video for this also?

1A Auto Parts says:

@wildmaninmt The headlight should come out just like the headlight shows.

mstblue says:

Oh yeah, would it be easier to disassemble and re-assemble the headlights
by removing the front bumper? I know it may be extra work, but it would
make the installation a whole lot better.

Ted Mehr says:

you did not show how to remove the lower bolt. that one seems to be a

Fredy Martinez says:

excuse me i have a 2000 dodge ram and i replaced the headlights because
they were getting more opaque, and the new lights do not go as far and they
are brand new, any advice??

RanchhandTCR says:

What a good way to protect the new headlights from oxidizing, I have a
dodge 2500 Diesel.

1987lx says:

gret vid it helps alot, thanx…

1A Auto Parts says:

@213mfredy The light should shine just as far as the OE ones. We do
recommend replacing the bulbs if your headlights came with them, because
they are a test bulb and may not be as strong as the ones you previously
had.Hope this helps.

Tallerico500 says:

Oh you have too remove the gasket. (doh) I going too remove it to try
figure out why a new bulb won’t go back in. Thanks or the video. 🙂

Thomas Bohmier says:

@YouraN1993R —-FALSE——-If you want to straighten someone out on some
facts,get ’em right…In ’02, the 2500 sport model came equiped with 3
engine options. 5.9 V-8 magnum,8.0 V-10 and the cummins diesel…note: FYI,
your corrected.

DolittleMccoy says:

My dodge’s headlights did the same thing. Even filled with water. I heated
a nail and melted a small hole on the underside of the light lens for the
water and moister to drain. My lens cleared up nicely afterwards

dodgekid83 says:

FYI, This process is much more difficult when your bumper is tweaked lol.
Near impossible to remove the lower bolt closest to primary lamp

1A Auto Parts says:

You can maybe just try to keep the vehicle clean.

KFourTwenty says:

This process I kind of annoying

Patrick3024 says:

does anyone know how 19.5’s ride on a 1998-2001 3/4 dodge?

1A Auto Parts says:

@creepindead You can leave the headlight in your truck. There are two
adjusting screws on the backside of the main beam. There should be one on
the top and one on the bottom of the lens. You adjust the headlight
position by turning these screws. It’s easier to adjust them at dusk or at
night on a flat surface so that you can see where the beam is aiming as you
adjust it. Hope this helps out.

drksyde72 says:

thanx alot….

1A Auto Parts says:

No you should be able to reach your hand around the back of the headlight
and twist them out.
