1aauto says:

You might be able to adjust the fenders of position the lights to tighten the gaps up a little bit.

Jesus Balbastro says:

I have aftermarket head lights on my 98 durango, and after they installed them there are some gaps between the body and the new lights. any idea on what i can do to make it flush on with the truck???

Maui Melody says:

I have a 1998 dodge durango that I’m trying to put in a headlight bulb on driver side. I looked under the hood and it looks like i can replace it from there without taking off all of the front stuff. But how do I pull it out? I unplugged the thingy but can’t get the bulb out. Is it attached to something or will it just come out if pulled hard enough?

Big Ed Mustafa says:

Great video! Thanks a lot!

weejitwill says:

It took me 2 hours to get the old headlights out and the new ones in. On the drivers side the third bottom bolt on the right is below the bumper, and is unreachable without taking it off. The other side you can just barely reach it by lifting up the light. I had to only bolt the right headlight down with 2 bolts. 1999 Sport

discocoy says:

Thank you! 03 Dakota.

Nathan Brutal Explosion says:

on the durango theres 7 or 8 bolts located way behind the assembly i want to say 6 inches

AWESOME VIDEO! <----- for a guy who knows a lot of skills and trades, but doesn't know a THING about CARS, this video helped me to replace my lights in about 15 minutes (after watching your entire video) and saved some cash. Thanks A1 Auto!

1aauto says:

You should be able to carefully remove it. If it’s a clip that helps to secure the post on the headlight, you might be able to remove the new one and leave the old one in it’s place to secure the light.

James Donaldson says:

Thanks…GREAT VIDEO…saved me lots of time…much appreciated– 2002 Dakota

Very detailed video. THANK YOU.

mhia4 says:

I think I did it in a little under 40 min. Without the video it would have been an all day thing, ending with me buying two bulbs because I threw the first one at the garage. Thanks… For my family… Thanks. lol

Thank you for tuning in. Have a great day!

megamoonwalker5 says:

Thanks for the tips on how to remove I had Headlight. I wasn’t sure which tools to use to remove the Headlights. You answer my question within the first few minutes of this video. Now I can replace my turn signal light. On a 2000 Dodge Durango.

1aauto says:

Thank you for visiting our auto repair channel on YouTube. 1aauto.com

1aauto says:

You would need to adjust them once they are installed on your truck.

Ionicent says:

Do the lights need to be adjusted after installing or are they already aimed correctly?

R Hopp says:

Replaced passenger headlight, 2002 Durango, in approx. 40 minutes, thanks to your video! That doesn’t include the trip to the store for the 10mm socket (thank you for saying the size needed), but it does include 2 trips back to the computer when I needed extra help! (One was to use a flat-head screwdriver to pry the corner pin free.) Removing the top screw with a T20 screwdriver made it much easier to remove the turn signal assembly. Thank you very much!

Peter Pappas says:

Excellent video. I replaced both of my headlight/tail light assemblies with new ones. Whole process took about 40 minutes thanks to the excellent instructions in the video.l

oOoOo says:

Thanks for posting this video!! I just changed out the bulbs in my 2002 Dakota and this video made it very easy to do.

1aauto says:

It should be a 9007 size bulb. If you take the bulb out of the headlight it should also have a number on it. Hope this helps you out.

RyanTritini says:

What is the high beam bulb size for a 2001 dakota?? please help

musicianman121 says:

I literally just did this to my 2002 dodge dakota. Same exact setup, very easy to do. The first 2 mins of your explanation on how to get it off showed me everything I needed. Thanks.

1aauto says:

We haven’t tried it here, but It could be different.

1aauto says:

You should be able to purchase them from the dealer. Many times they can look them up on the computer and match them for you.

Steve Watters says:

Where can i buy new 10mm bolts that hold the assemble? I tried everywhere.

Jrob Sanchez says:

does anybudy knows if a 98 durango`s fender fits on a 98 dakota sport?

Stan S says:

Excellent video, much appreciated! The “diagram” in the owners manual is worthless! Thanks much! BTW, I didn’t have a T10 Torx driver but borrowed one from Action Auto Parts, where I bought the bulb.

drippe1966 says:

Excellent video, was not able to do it 3 months ago on the drivers side and had to take it in to the shop. The passenger bulb went this week and after watching your video I was able to do it in 20 minutes. Thanks for the OUTSTANDING HELP.

Jean Palumbo says:

This video was so incredibly helpful. !!! I have a 2001 dodge durango RT and never knew how easy it was to get at the parking lights to change the bulb. One little screw! All be it a torque screw, but so simple….Thanks a bunch!

1aauto says:

Thank you for checking out our videos.

tiggerip2001 says:

thx so much u rock!

Timothy Evans says:

That was awesome >>> Thank you . All I needed to do was to change the bulb and that made it so so easy.

Tony B says:

I went to get an oil change at Jiffy Lube a couple of weeks ago, and they noticed my side parking lights were out. They said they would replace them, installed for 5 bucks each, but after 15 minutes, they still could not figure out how to get the lights out. They said I would need to go to the body shop, yeah, right, at what those guys charge?? So to do it myself, I had no clue, until I found your video. I’ll be getting some new bulbs this weekend thanks to this tutorial. It’s great. Thanks.

wristaker30 says:

your a lifesaver dude!

Lemmy Atterbusch says:

Very helpful vid. The lights all work perfectly, and you just saved me fifty bucks.
