thanks!
If the belt tensioner isn’t putting enough tension on the serpentine belt, you may want to replace it. 1aauto.com 888-844-3393
my best began squealing not to long ago. I put a new belt but it appears to sit pretty loose. When I revved the engine you could hear a snapping sound. I assume it’s caused by the belt being a little loose but when I put the old belt back on I don’t have that problem. Could the tensioner need replacing or is the new belt just a little too long? Thanks for any advice.

Great, took the time out on replacing the bearings also. Saved time and money..
Ironically when I tried to go to your website to buy the belt and pulley, you don’t sell the parts. Unless I am missing it. Went to 2005 dodge 1500 under belts link and only 5 tensioner Assemblys came up.
Thanks for the video. My belt and the idle pulley exploded into dust and shreds. Hoping one of the pulleys did not lock up causing it. Thanks again!
Boy they really took away the engine compartment space on these newer models.
watching how-to videos save me time and money.
Before I saw your video, I didn’t realize there was a square socket built into the tensioner to obtain extra leverage. I was trying to fight the spring by lifting directly on the tensioner with my hand… no good.
Thanks for the vid.
Thanks guys!
