Airtex Pumps says:

Inside of the fuel line there should be one or two O-ring’s. Most likely
one of those has failed. You should be able to purchase replacement
O-ring’s at a local auto parts store or at your local Dodge dealer. If you
need any further help, please don’t hesitate to call our free tech support
line: 800-424-7839. Thanks for watching!

Airtex Pumps says:

You may need to cycle key a few times to help purge the air from the
system. If after the install & cycling the key a few times it won’t start,
the first check is to see if you hear the pump running. Take off the fuel
cap & listen while a helper cycles the key. If you do not hear pump running
you will need to check power & grounds. If you do hear pump running then
you will need to check the fuel pressure to see if it’s within specs. For
more help on this call our Free Tech Line: 800-424-7839.

Thanks for the reply, that’s exactly what it is.I went out there this
morning and pulled the tank out from under the truck into the light and I
could see bits of O ring sitting around the outlet.I probably did it taking
the hose on and off a hundred times trying to get the clips to work.Pump
works great, cost me $200.If I took it to a shop or to the dealer I bet they
would charge $1000+.

JohnLeePedimore says:

I just installed one of your pumpms today on a 2006 Ram 1500 with 5.7
Hemi. It’s the one for 26 gallon short bed and it works fine but the
feed/high pressure line is leaking at the pump.I boogered up the clip on
the old fitting but I got new clips from Dodge and it still leaks. Any
ideas?

P Skippy says:

What did you use to clean out the fuel tank?

Airtex Pumps says:

Glad to hear it, Nathan. Thanks for watching the video and for choosing
Airtex!

the car do no keep on? somebody told me maybe i need to purge the gas or
something like that? help please thanks

Patrick Walker says:

After reconnecting the negative battery terminal I would recommend
refueling the tank before cycling the pump. I’m sure that’s what you did
but it’s not shown or suggested in your video.

Nathan Kalway says:

Just installed one of these today on my 05 Ram. Looks like a nice quality
part, and so far is working great.
