If you use a breaker bar and a bungie cord or a tie-down strap, you can do
this by yourself. And to those with a Bank’s engine brake installed you
would need belt # Goodyear 4081295 or Dayton 5081295 these are longer to
accommodate the vacuum pump. Keep these tools and spare belt under the rear
seat in the quad cabs.

I must say this is a good video for those who need assistance and I
reviewed it as I haven’t owned my truck long and didn’t know if there was
anything special with diesels.. I will say however it took my 10 min by
myself with just a half inch ratchet. If you have any mechanical abilities
it is a very simple job. Just set you last pulley to pull the belt over to
be the crank shaft pulley and slipping the belt behind the tensioner is
easiest when you compressing the tensioner. Otherwise great video guys.

These belts are a slut to replace. That’s why I hate my 2003 dodge
cummins.

There is no Jake brake available for these engines. There are exhaust
brakes available, and they are installed after the turbo, so they have no
belt.

Jose Banuelos says:

Does this truck have a jake brake installed? Would the truck need a
different serpentine belt if it did?
