You could try a large flathead screwdriver or small prybar to “persuade”
it. Maybe spray some lube around the bolt areas. The metal might be stuck
together due to some rust or corrosion.

Disconnecting the battery is a given when doing any electrical work on a
car. If you don’t know that then you shouldn’t be working on cars.

Sorry, I thought I replied to this when you first posted. I believe the
bolts and placement should be the same for a 2004.
