I have that exact same i heart boobies bracelet on my shifter too lol thats
awesome

Mark van Dalm says:

Thanks for this tutorial. I just applied it to my ’09 Dodge Ram 1500 Hemi
and everything seems to be working fine now. The major difference for me
was that the replacement part cost $63.

bluewaterdiscovery says:

Awesome video! thanks for posting…..I’m sure this is covered under a
recall service bulletin but I really don’t like the idea of someone tearing
the crap out of my dash! Dealership told me they would have to pull the
whole dash and that it would take a full day or more! As a mechanic
(aviation) I think I will do this myself….One question though, Isn’t the
clocking of the gear on the actuator important to the position of the door
mechanism?

Dee201142 says:

You have to tell people to keep the white lever pushed up to the top BEFORE
you slide in the replacement unit. If you don’t you won’t get the proper
direction for the air and you will not get anything at the feet. Trust
me…..I found out the hard way.

Matthew Rainey says:

There is a recall for this they have to update the software and if any
actuators are broke fix it for free

Manny Regateiro Jr. says:

great video. Think this is my issue on my 2010… thanks for making the
video you two.

sammysweet60 says:

Awesome. You two are an asset to the working man. Way to save me and others
a lot of cash. 2010 1500 Ram had the same thing happen but I had 148.000
when it happened. Thanks again

Chris Alkire says:

I was just quoted $471.63 for this job. I have a 2010 Dodge Ram 1500 Sport
and I want to say thank you for this video. I have dual climate control and
NAV so this video is exactly what I needed. I’ll fix this gremlin this
weekend

Chris Cody says:

Nice Video dude, it took me 15 minutes and 32 bucks…….

cslimproduction says:

I have a 2009 dodge ram and I heard a knocking noise behind dash board when
I put air on it blows to the feet

Sleepy731 says:

same problem and just now noticed the other video on how to replace and how
much it costs, its a 15 minute job! fml!

Joseph Johan says:

Dude Thank you very much, The dealer quoted me close to $1000 + Parts, I
took a gamble and was able to do this in 21 minutes flat. One hint though
the 2 actuators are located side by side, so before you disconnect the
wires try to put one hand on the actuator and turn thee ignition on,This
way you dont take the wrong one of, The bad one will vibrate to your touch.
Thank you very much

sicc Tv says:

You have an easy fix. Good job bro Now on my 09 I bent the ac line going
into the evap core behind the firewall….. I’m fucked and it does require
full dash removal. Lol

dan man says:

Thanks alot bro and camera girl dealer wants to charge me $1400 thay sead
the whole dash panel has to come off. Now i can do this job my self with
out tearing up

Matthew Bellavigna says:

Thank you so much for posting this saved me a fortune! The dealer said
$1400 but I did it in 45 min and the part was $53.

Steven Permenter says:

Awesome video and it helped me out a lot when I changed my acutators. Thnx.

ripped5050 says:

Thanks alot for the video, mine went out yesterday and this video is a great
help.Thanks again.

C Calder says:

If you have electronic temperature control, the part number is 6808 9742
AA. This is a great video. Thanks for posting it. I have a 2009 Dodge Ram
Laramie with 41K miles on it. I wasn’t sure if it was the door or the
actuator and I didn’t know how to get to it. I don’t have a center console
like you have, so the second part of my dash removal was different. I had 8
more screws to remove (which included removing the ash tray and cigarette
lighters. Took about 45 minutes in all.

tednuugent66 says:

Thanks man, that helps a lot. thanks for the post too. yours is the only
one with the same console/dash.

Sid Payne says:

Thanks a ton for this video. It saved me a lot of money and frustration. My
truck is a base model so my dash is a little different. I shot a quick
video of getting the to actuator and linked to yours since it was so
helpful.

Sleepy731 says:

just dropped off truck today and was told this is not under any recall

CoachworksBodyShop says:

Just wanted to take time to say thanks for putting this vid up…I almost
turned down this job because we thought we had to pull dash . It went just
as you posted..ty again.

Reynaldo Armendarez Jr says:

Amazing video! It saved me a ton of cash and time. Thanks a mil for your
post.

B Scott says:

Is this dual zone or single zone?

greg nickel says:

thanks for the vid, just started making noise yesterday on my wifes 09. at
43000 miles dont know if it will be under warranty so this is a great help.

akjk04 says:

Do you have the Big Horn edition? I am having the same problem.

spineandbones says:

2009 with 36k. Same problem. Will repair this myself now. Txs for the vid!

edwb1 says:

Great video, I hate paying the dealer for something I can do. You’re video
just made it a lot easier.Canadian 2009 Laramie Crew
