I have a 99 Ram 2500 with the 5.9 Magnum. It is a beast as a shop/farm/plow truck. I upgraded all the steering and suspension components. It has no comfort conveniences like power windows, locks, heated seats, etc. to break so I lucked out there I suppose. It is a beast.

They would be crazy not to have you as their mechanic!!!!

@jamescaron6465 says:

time is money, money is time. Your time is worth something It takes time to properly diagnose a problem and you deserve to be properly compensated for that time. I don't mind paying if the diagnosis and the job are done properly. I do, however mind paying for work that is junk. I do not like paying for defective work but happily will pay for a well done job.

I'm 84 and wheelchair bound. I wath Eric and Ray. That's it. Back in the old days, I was pretty good at diagnosing problems. I gad no tools except experience generally.
Another thing is if I get it first was my cheapest price.If I had to spend time unfixing someones else's screw ups the it just cost more. I rarely worked as c a full time mechanic, but I would refer people to the one of the 3 shops in town . To whichever one was best at a particular job…The sole exception was a radiator repair shop. He was always cheaper than the other local shop. Wanna guess who spent full half his time straightening out the other shops screw ups. But yet sometimes for elderly and disabled there was no charge. You young people need to know that before Social Securityelderly and disabled folks still had to work at soething we had a blind neighbor who shelled peas or cracked pecans for a few dollars a week.

And people starved to death. There were no food stamps or food banks. People stole food from other folks fields and orchards. The decent folks only took what they needed to live.9
In school I help my best friend dump trash after lunch and pick out food for his younger brothers and sisters.

Good job, Eric.
You done another one. It's amazing what people do.

@elext9q says:

I never knew about the "shift in reverse so you can turn key to start position without grinding starter" trick, I'll have to remember that one thanks!

@johnmckamy6398 says:

You only get as good as Eric O when you don't give up and have no choice but to stick it out . because morally it's not right to charge for not fixing it.

@jimweimer6725 says:

I've seen some work of shops. Even charging customer for parts they replaced. Well they actually didn't replace the part. That's a shame.
What the hell was up with that fuse jumper for that temp door.
Good job my man.

@edtillier4421 says:

too bad you cannot teleport yourself all over to fix everyones car and truck problems, you are truly a joy to watch and listen to, thank you for what you do!

@timfleming6395 says:

Hi Eric. Question ❓. What brand is your shop light that you use.

@merii4021 says:

Good finding and keep up the good work
