Yazmeister says:

What brand was the replacement heater core? The HC I got from Advance Auto
was a bit thicker than the original and it would not slide in like the one
in your video. Thank you in advance.

Rob Melzer says:

I have 2005 1500 and there is no access to core from the top of the heater
box.

jay sanders says:

how did you get the dash off in one piece? I have the same exact 2500 ram
and need to replace my heater core thanx for the video just need to get
that dash out with out breaking it the thing is so fragile

thebuilderdude68 says:

@ barnstrm Good point on the e-brake thing, mine was on the level when I
did it. Been a year now and have not had any problems with the new one at
the swivels and she blows good heat too!

kairotechnics says:

It takes a long time, lots of electrical wires and a few cables

Chris Pence says:

give it a while with those swivel connections and they WILL start leaking

Eric Barnes says:

Great video-thank you. I had planned on opening up a perfectly good A/C
system & changing evap core & accumulator till I saw this. Worked
perfectly. 1 thing I found out the hard way that no one else mentions: When
you free the dash, the e-brake lets go. If you have an auto shifted into
low for the dash to clear, the truck will roll at this point. Mine’s a
diesel & very HEAVY. I ran around the truck & got a foot on the brake, then
yelled for the wife who blocked the wheels. Bet it looked funny!

1SICKYJ says:

How long did the job take you? I’m about to do mine ASAP lol

dirtydavid26 says:

About how long did it take to get the dash apart?

MrStandupphilosopher says:

you can pull the dash… OR you can just pick up where that POS dash left
off and remove the rest of that crappy chrysler plastic.
