So I have an ‘05 Dakota I kinda want to do this to, but I gotta ask. What is the point of lifting the suspension two inches if you have to drop the front diff two inches? Doesn’t that just cancel out any ground clearance gained by the suspension lift?

Ray says:

You need to do a Ram knuckle swap. Along with some other Ram parts. But yeah 3in spacers on stock suspension doesn’t work. 2in is barely enough but it works

Kerry Clark says:

You need to figure out your vocabulary. Bolts and nuts are different and there is no brake drum in the front of your Dakota.

Robert Livingstone says:

I was waiting for it to not fit put the garage door

Michael Abernathy says:

How can I move my dif I got everything in done i moved it a bit but it’s not enough and I can’t get it to budge anymore

BearAmps says:

wire brush those threads first, just a manual old brush is fine, with a shot of wd40. golden

kbr1020 says:

Maybe installing the diff drop kit first would have allowed the bigger spacers to go in properly?

CJ Colson says:

YO will this be the same process for a 2007 SLT 4×4???

Matt Steinbach says:

For the 2" lift in the front was the puck actually 2"? I ordered a 2" kit as well and the front puck is rough 1.75". Wasnt sure if the geometry made the overall lift 2 inch or if they sent the wrong front puck

Lee Griffith says:

Okay, I'm at 16 minutes of your video. Lift blocks in my opinion should be no higher than 2 in. After that, go with a real lift kit, don't try to cheat it. I know the thing I noticed, on your trust your spring to shock adjustment is way high. Before you sent the trains back maybe try lowering no 2in get everything installed and then raise them with your strut tool to your desired height. Just a thought.

C. Charley says:

I had 2 in front wt old struts, I replace struts and my passenger front started hopping..(4×4).. good infor on front diff drop and It's needed… fyi cv axle made it hop due to it not connecting.

Rune Asboe says:

Thanks for your video! Good inspiration on how to lift the truck up a bit. Here a few months after – how do you like it? How does it ride?

Juan Jr Mendiola says:

Do you think I can as a3 inch spacer to the front? I have a 2.5 rough country leveling kit. But the rear measurements from the tire to the fender is 10 and the front is 7.5 . If I take out the 2.5 spacers and just replace them with 3 inch spacers ,will that work? Or do I have to do anything else??

Michael Megee says:

I have a 2006 that I’m trying to find a leveling kit for and can’t find one.

ParkerKnows Best says:

What about the stud sticking up did u cut it off

Jordan Mercredi says:

Great video thank you

Dee Gee says:

6:34 NOOOOOOOOO

truculent phillips says:

Hitting the ears on the knuckle with a deadblow or brass hammer will usually pop the tie rod or upper arm loose, helps keep the end of the tie rod stud in good shape. Even though the threads aren't to the end, it will help because it keep the hex on the end for a socket in case it starts spinning during removal or installation. You can also use a prybar to compress the stud into the ear if that happens, but just a general rule I try to stay away from releasing studs by hitting the ends.
Thanks for the video, didn't get the instructions with my kit, video covered everything I was curious about

Abraham Montoya says:

Cuantas pulgadas la levantaste de adelante?

Garry Adams says:

Do you really need to a diff drop with a 2” front and 1”in the back?

Ryan Polley says:

Did you have any issues with your cv axles binding after you installed the lift?

Isac Favela says:

After having this lift for a while, how does your truck feel? Do you recommend doing the same to my 05 dodge dakota 4×4?

Brandon K says:

I bought these in 2017 for my 2007 Dodge Dakota 4×4. I had 2 different 4×4 shops try and figure out the diff drop to stop it from binding, It won’t work. I bought full 3 inch and 2 inch kits
because they would not accept a return.

the two extra very awsome boys says:

I am a little confused. I have a 2.5" front spacer and 1.5 in the rear. Same exact drop kit. So you have any issues with binding?
