Yeah, I know people are going to laugh at my name, but I don’t like people
online knowing who I am. Regardless, I work for a used car lot & we got one
of these in. It takes more time to explain this than to actually do it. It
worked for me & saved me from having to pay a bodyshop to do the quick job
& charge no telling how much.

Very good video. I will be doing this to my Durango tomorrow. Thank you!

George Trudeau says:

Awesome! I did it all by myself in about 20 minutes. I had resigned to
living with a four-door non-utility vehicle, but now I can take the dogs to
the lake again. Thanks a million!!

Cody Campbell says:

This would probably work but I just took Wd40 and sprayed it inside the
lock and up underneath the handle. Mine was stuck so that the way I did it
and with a few pulls of the handle it opened just fine. If it will not open
with wd40 I would do what the video says but only as a last resort. But
thank you 1a auto! You helped me fix so much stuff on my 98 Durango..

Scott Riffle says:

Do you have a video on removing the actual tailgate. Does the wiring
harness disconnect easily.

1A Auto Parts says:

We currently do not there may be a plug end on the wiring that you might be
able to disconnect to remove it. 1aauto.com 888-844-3393

1A Auto Parts says:

You could try a little bit of white lithium grease on the latch to see if
it helps to free it up. 1aauto.com 888-844-3393

appreciated.

iPopFilms says:

thank you. gonna use it on my jeep

daBlade80 says:

dude, thank you so much, my hatch got stuck when I had a flat tire (luckily
I only noticed it had a flat because when I climbed out I could hear it
losing air, so at least I wasn’t stuck somewhere with a flat), and it
became all kinds of a pain in the ass. Thank you so much

matttikunoff says:
