OK so i Checked the wiring 5 times to make sure it is correct. And it is,
But i am getting nothing out of the controller.. how important is the 4 pin
connector that you used. I found another one that fits just fine. As long
as the connection is made it should not matter what connecter it is….????

Gray Easter says:

were on ebay did you find that 4 pin connector

Chris Tobin says:

Can you program through dealership to get it to work through EVIC? I assume
it will work stand alone without programming? Correct?

PkwyDr says:

No, without my truck to look at I don’t have anything else to really go off
of unless i’m there, headlights shouldn’t be tied into the controller so
maybe figure out with wire has power with the headlights on then see if
power goes away with lights off, then disconnect that wire and find the
proper wire to run it to. Worst case scenario you may have to put it back
to stock and have the dealer do the wiring, i’m sure they have schematics
and such, maybe check a dodge forum for wiring pics?

I have 0ne 4 pin plug but not the other one. the one I have looks like the
bigger of the 2 is the 270755017120 the smaller one? I went on ebay and
asked the seller if it is the correct one but he has not answered my ? I
already ordered the oem controller but need the smaller plug. my plug under
the dash is blue not gray does that matter?

spearsfam1316 says:

I had to get the 4 pin gray plug (larger of 2) what color are the wires
that got o the larger plug?

PkwyDr says:

Strange, it should have had it, i sold my truck so i don’t remember exactly
but when i look closely at the video i see a green a yellow a white and the
last one i can’t tell but i would assume they would all be ran together.

spearsfam1316 says:

it does not work when the truck and key is off. actually when my
headlights are on the module shows CF with a cymbal of a trailer with a !
mark next to it. I cannot turn on the brake module with the headlights off.
also cannot turn module on or off manually when lights are on. any idea
which wire or wires maybe crossed? thanks for your comments.

daxflaredneck says:

Have you put HID in your new ram yet

PkwyDr says:

type in 270755017120 into the search bar, should take you right to it.

spearsfam1316 says:

just finished installing the controller. started the truck and cannot turn
controller off manually. module display flashes cf with a picture of a
trailer with a ! next to trailer pic. any ideas what I did wrong??? does it
have to be programmed into evic?? lost and confused. thanks for ant help

PkwyDr says:

Yep, the part# in the description should be the smaller one. Not sure why
your plug is blue though…should be gray but as long as it’s a 4 pin and
plugs in it should be the right one. The seller on Ebay sells them for like
$35 and ships form Michigan or Canada or something, he is super slow took
like 2 weeks to get mine but it’s right and quality.

PkwyDr says:

hmm, with the truck off and key off it stays on? there’s a wire crossed
somewhere, it’s getting power to a wire that it shouldn’t be, recheck the
wiring for the small plug that taps into the ignition to verify wire colors
then recheck for the big plug too, did you ever find the 4 wires for the
bigger one?

PkwyDr says:

Yes have 6000k hi/low and 6000k fogs

PkwyDr says:

as long as you have BOTH plugs hooked up and wired in correctly, the brake
controller should work manually (when you slide the lever over) and if you
are hooked up to a trailer with properly working electric brakes, it should
work just by hitting the brake pedal, but i’ve been told if you have an
EVIC you can have it programmed at the dealer for more info like trailer
trip mileage, etc.
