Thank you for the detail of the job.

JoexCool says:

Thanks, it’s really not a hard job, but this vid was a big help. It’s nice going in knowing what you have ahead of you. Just did this on a 98 durango 318.

caleb colburn says:

im not sure where its leaking from. all i know that the radiator and hoses are good.. but is there any other place that anti-freeze can leak from besides the water pump?

619SixFour says:

Besides the tack spray, did you use any sealant?

Hey Will, I took my 1994 Dodge Ram to a mechanic to get looked at a few weeks back because it kept overheating on me. At first he said the thermostat was bad. So I had him replace it with a new one. The problem is my truck was still doing the same thing. I took it to him again and he said it was the radiator. So now I have a new radiator and a new thermostat and my truck is STILL OVERHEATING and is seriously pissing me off. Do you think it might be the water pump? I really need help on this

Michael Miserocchi says:

Thank you for the informative video. I am smack dab in the middle of doing a water pump on my 1996 318 magnum. The only thing i did which you did not ( and now I wish I hadn’t) was I took off the coil pack and the idler pulley. Live and learn, and yes, when I was younger and NOT 50 years old, working on cars and stuff was much easier on the back. bending over the engiine bay with a messed up back sucks!

IGetHighWithYourMom says:

working on my 1992 dodge dakota 3.9 v6 magnum is it good practice to change the thermostat at the same time I do the water pump?

al dooze says:

I am doing this repair tomorrow on a dodge ram van with this same engine . I was wondering if you know where I can find a walk through for this as I am wondering about what i need to do with the ac lines as they are in the way of getting to the water pump. This vid has been greatly helpful by the way and excellently done. Great work and thank you.

TOXIXIFY says:

My dad and brother who are mechanics, say the same exact thing. I find it silly, but it is understandable.

al dooze says:

Thank you Very much , I believe this vid will help me greatly. GREAT VID!

banjomaniac says:

I thought the long bolts had to have silicon or thread sealer on them when you reassemble?

BraveMind1151 says:

This is professionally made. Great work and very comprehensive.

bobby redondo says:

way to go, eric the car guy would be proud. this was really helpful. I imagine there may have been a struggle getting the hose back on where you replaced the clamp. Was wondering where the other end of that hose went to? The one on the top of the water pump that you had difficulty removing after you removed all of the bolts? thanks for posting

k5krusher says:

Great job,But whenever you replace a water pump you should change out the thermostat too.

ljcann1 says:

Thank you for doing this. It’s a little easier on my Ram. More room.

bestmastermind951 says:

is there a tool that exists to remove stubborn hoses and that doesnt mess them up like a pair of pliers or screw driver would?

robinsonsauto says:

That works as well

robinsonsauto says:

I often ask the same questions, some people are more than capable however just don’t want the hassle, 2 of my best costumers are industrial mechanics that work on machines all day however don’t want to be bothered working on their cars, my old man is a master auto tech and has me service his cars, he says its one thing to do work for others, however he would rather pay me when it comes to his own, when im his age i may feel the same way lol

robinsonsauto says:

Thank you

robinsonsauto says:

lol could always use a second hand, thank you

robinsonsauto says:
