good job on showing us nothing….

AJ Bergman says:

I live in northern Michigan so my heat exchanger is critical to warming my tranny fluid in winter. Needing to replace the heat exchanger in my 99 Ram 2500 due to a rust hole in one end of exchanger. I have the new part, but my Chilton manual doesn't even mention this part so there is no guide on how to remove and replace. I looked over YouTube and didn't find any vids on removal process. Seems you are pretty versed in removing this part. Would you mind telling me what tools I need and are there other parts I need to remove or loosen to get the old heat exchanger out? Also, did you pull it out from the topside or is it easier to get it out from underneath? Appreciate any help.

Joash Bergman says:

I also have have a 5.9 24v cummins, and the heat exchanger is leaking transmission fluid, so it needs to be swapped. I have the new part on hand(I opted to install a new heat exchanger. The truck is used for plowing, so it needs to be suited for cold weather), but I am unsure of the steps required to remove the old part. I plan on removing the air intake and hoses to make some room, but what else needs to be removed? Did you come up from the bottom of the truck to access the bolts and fittings, or did you do it from the topside?

I have looked at many forums and videos, but could not find any that were of much help. If you could give any advice, it would be much appreciated!

Samuel Cicerella says:

What is your Tranny temp with that trans?

Raphael Terry says:

Probably a dumb question but I am curious… wouldn't the fan get messed up in that position??? Wouldn't water from rain splashing up mess up the electrical part of the fan?

Jesus Contreras says:

What trans you got

Jeff Williams says:

I enjoy watching your videos. Your 2001 Dodge Ram Cummins interior looks good.

CrenulateMist says:

Do you see lower trans temps with this setup?

Tyler Eggert says:

I know this is a couple years after your video, but did you just put a plug into the fitting on the transmission where the line that runs from the heat exchanger to the transmission?

Nick Dentico says:

what are the sizes of the hose and the A/N fittings ?

Antonio Valenzuela says:

I got everything same fan I just need know what switch you use for the fan ?

Nyny42@live.com K4r4t3 says:

My fitting that would screw on to the heat exchanger fitting keep leaking there no check vavle would that make it leak I’ve gone throw 3 mopar trans line that go to that fittings all leak with in a mouth

Tyler Aardema says:

Kinda stupid question but you got pictures or videos of where every hose goes I need to do the same to mine

yazoomud88 says:

What made you go with that specific cooler over the one they make specifically for the 2nd gen dodge that bolts in the factory location behind the grill

Dylan Adkins says:

There should Be another place to hook that feed line up right beside that??

Kason Maxwell says:

Now that you deleted your exchanger do you have heat issues in the cab? I swapped heater cores and it would cook you out. Then I deleted the heat exchanger when I did my compounds and now my heater doesnt work for shit. I need to get these lines for the coolant I just rigged up what I had but want to clean it up now. Any help or input would be awesome

Corey 24v says:

On that fitting that you couldn’t get out inside of that there is a hex head inside of that!!! I found out the hard way. Took me hours to get it out just to find out once I did there is a hex head inside of it!!

Brandon Sadler says:

Should have just drilled and tapped for your feed line. Put a adapter and been done same day and fraction of the price

eddiebush93 says:

I'm looking to delete my heat exchanger as well. Have you had any issues with the trans not getting up to operating temperature?

Tristin McClain says:

Is it any different to bypass the heat exchanger? Like do you really need it because the lines that was hooked to mine got flattened some how and just wondering if i would really need to change them or would bypassing the whole exchanger work just as fine?

Jayson Carey says:

What did you use to plug the block since deleted the heat exchanger? Looking at doing the deleted/bypass with FFD lines. Already have a second cooler in front of intercooler

Mark Rich says:

What size are the threads that go to the transmission?

Tyler Maraglia says:

Noticed anything different with how the truck runs since installing the mishimoto trans cooler?
