That’s awesome! Thank you for adding the extra information about the torx
driver. I forgot to mention the size when I was doing the video.

Darrin Martindale says:

Thanks you just saved me going to a mechanic

RUNuckinfutz says:

Thanks for sharing this video. This would have been quite a job without it.

YouBulkit says:

Thank you very much. I know the video is a little shaky. It was a last
minute decision to film this when I found out how easy replacing the switch
was.

Gary Goggans says:

Great video! This will save me $85.00 to install the switch myself.

Theresa Wulf says:

What size torq do i need to get the side bolts out of the bottom to get the
cover off?

David Cohen says:

Replaced switch in my 2004 Ram 1500 in less than 10 minutes. Didn’t have to
remove any dash parts. Well actually took 20 mins because had to wait 10
mins after disconnecting neg battery terminal. Very, very easy switch
replacement thanks to you.

YouBulkit says:

I found it on ebay for around $50. Thanks,

YouBulkit says:

I didn’t have to disconnect the wire for the air bag so I’m not sure where
it is. However, I did disconnect the negative terminal from the battery.
Thanks,

Sly Law says:

how much was the multiswitch

Shai Ben-Yosef says:

where is the wire to disconnect the battery for the air bag?

David Avera says:

Worked perfect on my 2002! My 12 year and I did it in 30 minutes. Thanks
for the video!

Bobby Nolde says:

Awesome! Thxs for this video.

MegaDahlstrom says:

Excellent, you made it easy to understand and that instills confidence!
Going to do it tomorrow. Thanks for your talent!

Bob Long says:

Thanks for the video. I have intermittent wiper problem with it being
erratic. Was planning on changing this, but not clear which part I should
get or what the part # is for the switch assembly. The parts I found show
two versions, one with a hole like the steering column goes thru it and one
without. Both include the hazard flasher switch. Any help with right one to
use. (2004 RAM 1500 SLT)

TheDrumminjt says:

You don’t have to do anything different with a 02 dodge ram like i seen in
previous comments. Done just like you did on the video and it pulled right
out. No problem at all. Thanks again for info.

YouBulkit says:

You’re very welcome.

YouBulkit says:

TheDrumminjt says:

I have to do this with my 2002 dodge ram. Waiting on the part to arrive on
Tuesday. Thanks for vid.

turner1976ft says:

Very helpful man, my 05 has the same problem and I couldnt find a video
anywhere that helped . Thanks !

YouBulkit says:

It sound like that’s probably your problem. What year is your truck? The
one I took out of my truck was good. If you like you could have it, just
pay for shipping. I don’t need it.

YouBulkit says:

You’re welcome! I’m glad the video was able to help. Time is the one thing
we have…why waste it?!

Ben Erwin says:

Thanks a lot man. Probably about to do this in my ’03 1500.

JD4097 says:

Not yet. I wanted to hear if it solved your problem. I’ve read various
discussions in forms about switch, wiper motor, etc.

YouBulkit says:

I doubt if the switch is your problem. The only reason I say this is
because you said “they don’t always work”. When the switch goes bad they
don’t work at all. However, this is only my opinion through my experiences.
The switch can be going bad for all I know. Thanks,

BurpAndFartWeekend says:

Thanks for the vid. Getting ready to start on my 05.

JediMercenarie says:

This is for a dodge 06 25000 ?

YouBulkit says:

No, it plugs into a slot. Thanks,

MizeWingChun says:

Thanks! I am about to have to pull the switch out of mine and I was
thinking sawz all!

YouBulkit says:

Hi, this didn’t fix my problem (I wish it did), I had electrical issues
with the tail light wiring. Thanks, Terence

TheCumminspower59 says:

My wipers have a mid of there own as well as my signal lights ill be
changing the switch this afternoon once again thanks for the demonstration
it’s very appreciated

CTcarguy1 says:

I have a 2004 Ram 2500. I have the service manual. It says you have to
remove the air bag, remove the steering wheel with a wheel puller, remove
the covers, then remove the assembly that has the multifunction switch as
well as the clock spring. Then you can remove the multifunction switch.
This would take hours, require special tools, and they even talk about
special bolts that must not be re-used. I knew there must be a simpler
solution. Thank You!

Todd Anderson says:

I have a clicking noise in my igniton that makes a noise when I turn off
the truck. my radio isnt playing as well. and my dome light doesnt turn on
when i open the door now. could there be a short in a relay in my ignition
? i noticed this all started to happen after I wired a trailer connector on
the wiring harness and I think it shorted out when maybe some moisture got
on the wires. should I buy a multifunction switch ?

Josh Raper says:

My blinkers don’t always work on my truck do you think its the switch?

YouBulkit says:

The truck in the video is a 2004 1500. I’m not sure if the 06 2500 is the
same (may be). Thanks.

Ray Rodriguez says:

This does look easy. Thanks for the vid, i was afraid I had bad wiring. Had
someone look at it and they told me what it was and how easy it is. Thanks
again for the vid!

YouBulkit says:

Your very welcome.

bkali77 says:

thank you for posting this. These videos are sooooooooooo valuable to us do
it yourselfers

JD4097 says:

I’m curious about your tail light wiring fix. What was done and did it fix
the wiper issues? My “lamp out” goes on sometimes when I put it in reverse
or signaling right. The other day, I unlocked the doors remotely, the tail
lights flashed (as usual) but then the wipers did a cycle for no reason (no
key, truck was off). Are these systems related? Thanks!

YouBulkit says:

Your very welcome.

YouBulkit says:

@Sarge1400 Your very welcome.

YouBulkit says:

Thanks for the comments, the additional info should be very helpful for
those that have 02-03 Rams.

rrobertbates says:

So was there any wire harness to disconnect?
