Would an 05 be the same? Thanks.

Great video. Local Chrysler dealer wanted $650 to do this job. Like you
said, $100 for the parts and some sweat and the job was done. Thanks.

The little tip shaker what ever you call it on the thermo stat is for
letting air thru to bleed the system, you pit it at 12 so the air can pass
thru

Hey Kevin great video, i have a question for you, i have an 04 ram 1500 5.7
i have changed the water pump and i want to back flush the heater core do
you know which hose from the water pump to the heater core is the inlet
hose, is it the longer black tube of the water pump or is it the shorter
tube of water pump?

wayne sabina says:

No need to make your bar just jam your screw driver in one of those holes
and holes on the pully of water pump then use a hand torch heat up the nut
on fan clutch comes of like butter boys. Also no need to take washer fluid
resivor off just undo electrical clips and hose take it with your fan
shroud. As for your over flow box just take overflow line off rad and push
box back and tie it back makes life easier.

Oh so basically the shops wouldn’t do the work for free? Well of course
auto repair is expensive. Running a shop isn’t free. Get a grip man.

How did you know your water pump was shot? I have a 2005 dodge ram with5.7
hemi in it and noticed the other day that when I came to an idle the heat
would blow cooler air and when I was driving it would blow hot air……. I
talked to a couple people about it and most said water pump but others had
other ideas just want to fix the right part the first time!!!!

Jimmy Schmaggnoli says:

Just finished changing my water pump. I watched this video before I started
and I am positive watching this saved me hours (literally) of my time. the
job still took me most of the day but it was easy and I had no surprises.
