1970 Dodge Challenger Full Rebuild in Minutes!

1970 Dodge Challenger Full Rebuild in Minutes!

This Mopar is in serious need of a sandblaster! Also, they’ll go for a spin in one of the most famous Mopars of all time.

Detroit Muscle goes on the hunt for Project Ultra Violet…a 1970 Challenger. The team salvages a rotted out ’70 Challenger and shows how-to weld in a new metal roof, drip rails, and A-pillars. Chassis guru Jeff Schwartz brings in his G-Machine chassis to convert the uni-body Challenger to a full-frame. Then, the team grafts a low deck, all-aluminum Hemi, and T56 six-speed gearbox into the ’70 Challenger resto-mod.

Next, celebrity builder Chris Ryan shows how-to lay down metallic paint and graphics on the very purple Challenger and the team fabs a high flow EFI fuel system, serpentine belt drive, and dual-fan cooling system for ’70 Hemi Challenger.

Looks absolutely gorgeous, but what was actually reused besides parts of the body?

@Wadley225 says:

What the HELL did you do to that Challenger, cutting it up to put an aftermarket chassis in it, no chemical dip to eliminate all rust. COMPLETE FAIL all the way around. Absolutely unforgivable to chop the body up like that!

@mortenhansen3455 says:

This tops all Orange County Choppers and American Hotrod episodes on Discovery channel, combined. No constant bigoring or bitching manuscript-ed nonsense.. Just pure workshop and no B.S.! Very cool! And not to say the least, FINE car! Very fine car!

Love this! I have next to no idea about vehicle restomod / classic vehicle appreciation scene in the US. How much does this level of restoration cost, and what kind of USA income level do you need to have to be able to afford this?

@LR-my2di says:

I was never a fan of the 1970-74 Challenger, and of course we'll never see it on a drag strip to really see what it'll do.

@jorgereis1089 says:

Esse é o meu favorito de todos os múscles cars.

@SMSCOOBY71 says:

Not really a restoration, more like a kit build there were that many new parts used.

@leonmaliniak says:

It is just amazing what these restorers can do. What surprises me is that they are practically using nothing of the original car carcass and are basically fabricating a totally new car.

@Mightymax800 says:

I am literally TEARING UP and I don't know why…. I think it's due to envy and pride and just in awe of how beautiful that car is. May be frustration due to jealousy! lol

@tonykomski7370 says:

Damn, she's pretty. Wow.
