Good video I plan on doing this on my 2nd gen 2500. Jamey Johnson playing
in the background really put the icing on the cake!

Darrin Pollock says:

How long did it take to do

G Man says:

Hey you did a soild job! I would definitely have to practice drilling into
a similiar material that my trucks made of before actually drilling into
the truck.

SoHcarclub says:

hey bud, i put a similar pair of cab lights on my 99 durango, they look
sick because ive never seen it done, thing is i dont know where to put my
power, should i pop it in with my radio fuse being thats on with the truck
on or is there another spot i could put it in so they come on only when my
lights are on? thanks alot

G Man says:

Why didnt you get cab marker lights from the factory? Are these different
than the factory ones? I would be nervous as hell drilling into a brand new
truck man!! Great job!

8nfever1952 says:

you might try going out to your head light and finding your parking light
wire and tapping on to that. Originally the instructions for my lights told
me to use my parking light wire out at the left head light but i chose to
use the wire behind my pillar.

cddragonslayer says:

I agree with the other guys. I’d definately screw it up lol. I wish they
made those lights with adhesive for us “less talented” do it yourselfers :O
But nice job and it looks great!!

8nfever1952 says:

No, it does not. Kinda wish it did tho..

8nfever1952 says:

I would say it all depends on how long you wait to install after a fresh
coat of paint. You can always tape off the lights when you paint if you
chose to install them before the paint job. Me personally, it would drive
me nuts knowing the truck was a different shade underneath the lights. As
for the bulbs, i havent needed to change any yet. But when i do i’m going
to drop the headliner again and see if I can change them from the inside
again. I dont want to reseal the lights unless i have to.

69chevelle9 says:

i would get it professionally done, cuz i know id screw up on it somehow.
looks good thoh

8nfever1952 says:

no problem, glad you could get em hooked up!

bmxfire37 says:

looks good, watch those mirrors! im installing some on my 96 k2500

xsincealwaysx says:

shit id rather let a professional do mine, id probably make the wrong holes.

phin3s says:

I was cringing the entire time of the drilling portion.

james92y says:

Please tell me you folded your mirrorsw back down before backing out ..
hehe .. nice install. doing mine 2morrow .. wish me luck

powersguy says:

ouch ouch ouch ouch. thank god mine came with cab lights. i wouldnt be
drillin any holes lol.

8nfever1952 says:

These lights are for the older style dodges, i dont know why they still use
these, the only thing different on them are the screw holes are on the
sides instead of front to back. Believe me i was nervouse drilling these
holes, took me bout a year to get the balls to drill in the truck.

Matthew Odom says:

That’s an awesome walk through. Mines white and I’m doing the smoked lights
on Sunday they have been in a Box under my passenger seat for months and
I’ve been hesitant to do it myself. I refuse to pay 200 to install $50
lights so I’m going all in.

Steve-o MC says:

Recommend a knockout tool or a step-up bit and also protect the surrounding
drilling area by painter taping the drill area

8nfever1952 says:

It should be the same. I’m assuming its the same truck on a lighter frame?
Easiest thing to do about the wireing is pop off your pass side pillar. You
might have a like mine had. Look at the # of wires going into the plug
compared to the number of wires coming out. Have a test light handy. If you
don’t have a plug you can splice into your parking light wire out behind
one of the front parking lights. The directions in my kit actually said to
splice behind the driver side light. hope this helps!

James T says:

2 questions: would u recommend doin this b4 or after a fresh coat of paint
on my truck and also how do u change the bulbs?

Michael David says:

Man you did a great job!!!!!! looks great!!

trafton parsick says:

do you know if it is all the same for a 07 1500? i want to get the black
smoked lights

8nfever1952 says:

@james92y haha yes i folded the mirrors back down. Good luck with your
install, I hope my video can be helpfull. Just remember, measure twice
drill once..or in my case…measure about a dozen times

JonathanGuenther says:

Looks good!

SoHcarclub says:

@8nfever1952 yeah man! i got it all setup now and hooked right to the light
switch. thanks so much for the help!!!

Kevin Dillon says:
