Nope, its a big job. You have to take the upper plenum off as well as lots
of other stuff. You may also need spark plug tubes if they are old. They
will seep oil onto the spark plugs and foul them
i have a 98 cirrus v6 lxi. my car started misfiring too. i have done the
research. there is oil in the tubes because the spark plug tube seals go
bad, its a common problem with them i guess, i am about to fix mine also.
just thought i would let you know before you got to excited. i was actually
hoping to find a how to guide to do it myself but no luck. let me know if
you find some thing.
i have a 96 Cirrus, with 115k miles, that is having the same issue’s as you
described. As of yesterday, it is no bogging down when I go to accelerate
after a stop. I am going to check out the rest of your work on the Cirrus.
Thanks
Hey i just thought id say thanks for sharing this video. This video was
very informative. I have a dodge stratus with the same engine and I’m gonna
try the spark plug replacement you showed and hopefully it will run. Hope
to see many more videos.
I have a 99 Cirrus (not original owner) and I did not get the plugs changed
until 123,000 miles which was when it misfired. Mine is a great running car
now currently sitting at 149,000 miles!
It is a six cylinders engine with only 3 spark plugs. There is only one
spark plug for 2 cylinders, if I unterstand well? Thanks for your answer
from Europe.
I have a 98 Cirrus that has 6 plugs. 3 are easily accessible and the other
3 are under the aluminum cover or towards back of engine. I can see the
wires from the side. Is there any easy way to do it without taking so much
off?
@fm192429 no its a four cylinder and it has four spark plugs
