@HeraldOfHypo uhh.. I wouldnt use the spackle tool.. but wtf is wrong with
WD40 and Goo Gone? are you retarded? The contaminants in rain and on the
road probably do more to your vehicles paint job.
Nope, WD40 & Goo Gone have no effect on your paint, However. An older
vehicle’s paint has faded over time, removing the moulding will show the
fresh paint behind it. you will end up with a line down the side of your
car. Also, some vehicles have holes under the mouldings. so be very
careful, do your research.. I actually suggest against it on an older
vehicle.
I’m pretty sure they will be useless, although if you really needed to you
could put new 3m tape on and re-apply them. but chances are they wouldn’t
look right. you have to be careful too. some vehicles have holes under the
moldings. Chargers, Challengers, Magnums and 300’s don’t have holes.
I just started on my 2006 Charger R/T I had bubbles on the first door and I
stopped in fear for all of my doors doing the same. I used fishing line and
did a saw like motion. It worked the best was fast and no need to worry
bout scratching your paint. Idk if i’ll continue mine because of the heat
cooking the paint that was underneath it.
Dont spray fucking WD40 on your car, and a fucking spackle tool and FUCKING
GOO GONE!? This is everything you DONT want to get onto your car paint.
goddamn.
Hey I took off the side moulding on my 03 silverado but Im having a problem
taking off the sticky stuff behind it I used a whole can of Goo Gone
rubbing on it and I still cant get it off any suggestions?
Hey man great tip. I just finished taking my side mouldings off and it
looks great. I also used a blow dryer to heat the adheasive and it helped
the moulding come off much better. Thanks for the help bro. Really
appreciate it.
Use some Maxx Solve to get any of the junk left on it and then use some
compound and then a coat of a good wax over the area. A light compound
should take it out. I work at a Chrysler dealership so I have done this
before.
I’m doing it because it gives the car a cleaner look, if you look at my
other videos, I’ve painted my car and turned it into a beastly monster of a
beast 😛
looks very good on your car. I have a 300 touring as well and the side
molding is chrome I think it looks better with it on only because my car is
black…btw would you know where to get chrome door handle covers?
It worked with the exception that it striped the paint on one side , there
is still black residue that googone won’t get rid of , what else can I use ?
Just some speculation into this, I have the 300c with the chrome trim. its
just seated ontop of time like yours so both can be removed with the same
method
i took the moldings off of my silverado i left my truck out in the sun all
day on a hot summer day and then removed the moldings it helped alot and
saved me alot of time
@aliens300c Yeah i thought about doing that, but i have hard plastic with
chome side moldings on my 300C so you can’t really remove them. I do have a
question: do you know how to remove the trunk emblem (wing). Because i saw
an LED Chrysler wing on the net that acts like a brake light. I want to buy
it but you’ve got to replace the stock emblem and i don’t really know how
to remove it without doing some damage.
hahahaha.. you guys are hilarious I just bought me one of these cars – a
2005 – an there’s no way in hell im going to be tinting it, lowering it or
doing anything to it other than enjoying it. Always owned an american car,
always will!
dont do it i have an 06 touring and i had bubbles all over the place
anyone know if this will still work on my 07?? Like will the paint behind
it still be okay?
The 300c touring had the greatest ass. love it!
@HeraldOfHypo uhh.. I wouldnt use the spackle tool.. but wtf is wrong with

If you take the big emblem off there are two fasteners inside trunk lid.
This leaves open holes in the trunk.
Great video!!

WHY DOES HE NEED GLOVES
Great video worked like a charm

and some people purposely aim their shopping carts directly at expensive
cars parked far from the front
@CarCustomsEnt The gloves are so I don’t catch the herpes from your mother
you prick.
If its just dirt which has bonded onto the paint then a thorough claying
may remove it. Then a polish to fix the dullness and light scratches.

can you use feces?
@yuppers626 I’m pretty sure there are slots under the metal and it’ll look
weird, I’d leave it be!

Get a blow dryer or heat gun, apply heat to the 3G tape, it should come off
easier.

door into yours or a shopping cart you will wish you had these on it

what if i use the 3m brand adhesive remover instead of both goo gone and
wd40?
