30 July 2015. I show you how to replace the thermostat on a 2005 Chrysler Town and Country Van including problems you’ll likely encounter. Be sure to watch until the end because that’ where we address problems you might have with getting the new thermostat to fit into the housing.
It is easy to except when the intake manifold side is so pitted that there is not a good mating surface. I discovered this on an 06 Grand Caravan. Not sure what to do besides replace the entire lower manifold. The thermostat port is pitted as if it was eroded away. Hard to explain.
VERY BAD JOB DONE MAN, NO GOOD VIDEO !!!!
Jajajaa I love this video… Dont forget why you do this video Lol!!
what size are those bolts
Very nice. Looks so easy, even I can do it.
this guy is funny
Thanks for posting -and including mistakes. Seeing tiger mistakes helps others avoid them.
It is incredibly satisfying to see him screw up over and over since that is what my reality always ends up being. It's like watching myself work. Except my knuckles are not bleeding…
Thanks! [Good Team Work : ) ]
This dude is real…totally relate to this guy….Thank You for making it.
spring always goes to engine
would a bad thermostat be the cause of overheating? my fans running and there is no leaks
what if the coolant leaking from there..can I just replace and re-add coolant?
NIce job and I am glad you had the problems and addressed them very well for us novices. Keep up the good work and I will keep you in mind if I need other fixes for my Dodge Grand Caravan (which for other viewers) is the same as your Town & Country and Plymouth Grand Voyager as well. Happy fixing !
Hello Pirate.
I replaced the thermostat of my Voyager 2003 based on your video. Thank you for have taken the time to make this video and share it. Additional I would like to question how often do you replace the radiator of your Voyager. I have replaced it twice almost each 8 monts.
Thank you.
Regards.
I had the same problem with the tabs on the housing on my 2006 Dodge Grand Caravan. Can't believe something they would do something so idiotic. A classic case of a car company wanting to make production quotas, make the sale, and then to hell with the owner.

You got a good wife. Not a single word on how to do it right
+PirateStu1 did you have to drain the radiator first?
