You could put the smaller upper hose in a gallon jug. Plug off the outlet on the resivor have a helper start the engine wile you dump fresh fluid in to the resivor keep going till the fluid going into gallon jug is clean red atf+4 transmission fluid I do this to mine every other year. The resivor has a filter it needs to. Be changed often
